I am sending this letter and my attached resume in regards to the
Superintendent job opening that was listed on indeed.com. I have been in
the construction field for 29 years and also was the owner of T & B
Concrete. I know that my extensive knowledge in this field would be
beneficial to your company.
I have worked both with architects and engineers. I have supervised up to
15+ men on a crew. I schedule my work efficiently, at least three weeks in
advance of the upcoming task. That way I am able to get RFIs back in a
timely manner, therefore, staying on schedule and under budget. I also keep
open communication with the owner at all times. I schedule weekly meetings
with sub contractors, so that they may voice any concerns on upcoming task,
that they may have and also to schedule their work around other
subcontractors so project will run smoothly and more efficient, staying in
line with schedule and budget.
Safety is a major concern for me. I have never nor will I ever allow unsafe
work on any project that I oversee. I schedule weekly safety meetings with
all sub contractors and/or employees and daily toolbox safety meetings for
upcoming task

I started residential concrete work in 1981 at the age sixteen. Began
commercial and industrial carpenter and concrete work in 1983 and have
remained in the field from that time.
My experience has varied from concrete bridge work to miscellaneous
concrete foundation work including layout, grade work, tank rings, drilled
shafts, piers, spread footings, walls, slabs on grade, elevated deck,
elevated beams, etc. I am an experienced backhoe, track hoe, mini-excavator
and bobcat operator.
My positions have varied from Lead Man to Superintendent to Estimator.
