Manufacturing Process Technician

Perform tooling and process control studies with operators on

data gathered and suggest improvements. Program up to 4 axis

lathes using Mastercam X2.

Supervisor

Manage, instruct, discipline nine operators, two utility

workers, and one QC Technician in a Union Environment. In charge

of managing jobs on twenty-two CNC Mills and Lathes based on due

dates or rush jobs. Hold monthly meetings with employees to

CNC Mill Programmer/ Machinist

Program from Prints, drawings, and sketches using Microsoft Word

on a PC manually creating G&M coding and transferring via to

flash drive then to machines. Set-up including use of pre-

fabricated fixtures to accommodate built-in compound angles and

toolballs to establish Zero. Determined Touch-off points for

various tooling. Operation includes walking thru "first run"

programs, observing any problems with the process or programs

and troubleshoot. Calculate Speeds and Feeds for the various

tooling. Work with management and salesmen on improving

processes.

Sandblaster, and Engine Lathes.

2002-2007 Ossur Engineering- Albion, MI (Manufacturer of

Prosthetic Knees)

CNC Mill/ Lathe Programmer/ Machinist

Program from Prints, drawings and sketches using Notepad on a PC

manually creating G&M coding and transferring via disk then to

machines. Set-up includes use of vises, collet closers, jaws,

toe clamps, parallels, a 4th Axis, and indicating squareness and

roundness. Establish Program Zero, determine Touch-Off Points

for various tooling. Operation including walking thru "first

run" programs, observing any problems with the process, and

troubleshooting. Analyze, compensate, calculate for tool

assemblies and production. Had "generic" programs covering

various types of operations to save time from writing repeated

code. Calculated Speeds and Feeds for various types of

materials. Made recommendations to Management for machinery and

processes while multi-tasking all positions listed.

Assembly Technician

Inspect components, assemble, and test final product

per process.

Incoming Inspection

Check incoming components, of various materials verified by

material cert's, to individual prints using micrometers,

calipers, gage blocks, various gages, optical comparator,

Hardness Tester, Surfometer, and using a "keen" eye for

cosmetics. Enter findings into the system via PC and generate a

Quality Rejection Report if necessary to said parts.

Process Control Plans/ Work Instructions

Add wording and pictures to existing formatted Excel sheets

relaying directions based on the actual process. Proofread, make

corrections, use a standardized format from on instruction to

the next. Turn into the Engineering/ Quality Managers for their

proofreading and make corrections if necessary per their

corrections. When approved, create binder tabs and cover sheets

and insert them into a binder with the cover sheet identifying

the Process contents.

Materials Exposed To: 17-4PH Investment Cast, 4140 Alloy, Tool

Steels, Stress Proof, various Stainless and Aluminum, Cold

Rolled, and Delrin.

CNC Machinist/ Operator

Set-up Vertical Machining Centers and Lathes using vises, jaws,

and fixtures including touching off tools. Establish Program

Zero. Troubleshoot Processes and Programs. Statistical Process

Controls (SPC), QS-9000, and helped implement

"5 S" system throughout facility.
