Worked for Key Communications, which publishes six trade magazines
relating to the glass and contracting industries. For nineteen months
worked in the advertising department as the advertising coordinator.
Was responsible for converting all advertisements into digital files
and was the chief point of contact for sales representatives for the
collation and coordination of advertiser inputs. Performed editorial
work and layout of all magazines in preparation for print.
For twelve months was in charge of magazine production operations.
Duties were expanded to include responsibility for ensuring all
deadlines were met regarding completion of magazine layouts, logistics
coordination with printers, advertising inputs from sales
representatives and database inputs and maintenance. This included
the supervision of one full time staff member. Also worked closely
with the Marketing Manager to organize trade shows for company by
setting up conference rooms, setting up the company's trade show
booth, shipping materials, reserving hotel rooms for sales and office
staff and arranging correspondence/attendee packets for attendees.
