My name is June. I'm an experienced Server and Bartender, and love the
restaurant industry. My favorite part of being a Server is making people
happy serving a great meal, and being part of a great team. My serving
experience includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner in many different kinds of
restaurants in California and Washington State.
I appreciate and enjoy serving and selling all kinds of food. My childhood
was spent in San Francisco, where I developed an appreciation for quality

In 2002, I began as a Server and was promoted as I took on new
responsibilities. "Open Kitchen" restaurant, with 18 tables in the dining
room, 10 additional booths in the lounge for food service by bartender with
server backup. Handled restaurant alone at lunch. Nights: 2 Servers, 9
tables each, sharing 1 Busser, and a Hostess/ Cashier. Worked "open and
close shifts" (sometimes doubles) in Dining Room or Bar depending on
position. All related side work for any position worked. Orders taken on
Guest Check/ Tickets, no POS System. Essential Server duties: greet guest,
present menu and wine list, describe specials, soups, etc, ask for drink
order, deliver drinks/cocktails on tray, converse about specials, ask for
appetizer order or questions about menu, offer suggestions, take food and
wine order, bring bread, serve appetizer, follow-up to ensure appetizer
satisfaction, pre-bus, serve salads/ soup, follow-up, check drinks, pre-
bus, serve entree (hand serve & tray service), return within 2-3 bites
follow-up entree satisfaction, refill drinks or wine if needed, describe
and suggest dessert possibilities, meal completed. Pre-bus, offer to
package unfinished food, offer coffee and after dinner drinks. Serve
coffee/ drinks, bring dessert tray for display of choices, take dessert
order, serve dessert, refill drinks, ask regarding additional needs,
prepare and present guest check. Process guest check in timely manner and
return with thank you for being a Guest, present receipt and change.
Additional Server Duties: salad prep, help cook w/food prep. if needed.
Guest Tickets cash out at cash register if guest prefers. Bartender Duties:
Prepare mixed drinks, compound drinks, blended drinks for bar customers,
cocktail server, and dining room orders. Stock beer, wine and liquor.
Prepare back ups of cut fruit, and mixers. Suggest and serve bar
appetizers, specials, and meals with same attention to detail as Server
(indicated above). Keep bar log. Clean and maintain bar, tables and seats,
glassware, mirrors, etc. Keep condiments and bar utensils stocked. Monitor
patrons for signs of intoxication and suggest water, food alternatives,
etc. Plan and promote food and drink specials, combinations, theme nights
(Football, Texas Hold-Um, Ladies Night, Industry Specials). Additional
Duties: Oversee servers and bartenders. Coach on company policy, customer
service, efficiency, service speed, teamwork, side-work, cleaning, food
presentation, portion control, food waste, etc. Interview, hire, train,
write-up, and fire servers, bartenders, and dish/ bus staff. HR paperwork:
I-9 and ID Compliance, Application verification, W-4's, FH & MAST License
maintenance. Office organization & filing, dining room and bar employee
schedules. Liquor, wine and beer orders, pick-up liquor order, unload and
stock. Money control: Till countdown, balance, till transfers, safe drops,
bank deposits, refill change machine, credit card batching. Food Control:
assist Kitchen Manager w/ daily specials, food orders, product receipt,
intake, shrinkage, stocking and rotation.
11/2002 - 08/2005: Restaurant lease expiring, restaurant put up for sale.
Quit to sell house and rental. Relocated to Spokane, WA.
