Project Experience

Composite Cargo Technology Demonstrator for the US Air Force

. Designed a multi-mission composite cargo aircraft with a fuselage and

wings made out of carbon fiber which has great STOL performance and

speed agility and also operates in small bases and improvised landing

zones.

. Computer programs such as MATLAB and FORTRAN were used to calculate

the service ceiling and absolute ceiling of the aircraft, as well as

calculating the landing and takeoff capabilities of the aircraft.

Composite Flight Structures

. Worked with composite materials such as epoxy, glass and foam to

construct a water ski that will be lighter, perform better, and have

higher buoyancy over traditional water-skis.

. An ANSYS computational analysis was used to calculate the maximum

stresses throughout the composite ski.

. Lab tests were also performed to confirm maximum stresses.

Freeze Proof Livestock Waterer

. Designed a waterer that feeds water to 100 unit animals in the extreme

cold temperatures of the upper states without freezing.

. The equipment is low cost and uses technologies such as: Wind Energy,

Geo-Thermal Energy and Solar Energy to keep it from freezing.

. A FORTRAN code was created to calculate all the operational cost and

total cost of the unit and used Solid Works to design the model.
