Envision and direct creative marketing and design projects for multi-
channel merchant and distributor of public safety apparel and equipment
with $200 MM in annual revenues and 600 employees.
Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience of creative copy and photo
production, print management, and production processes to develop and
execute strategic projects that ensure consistency of product branding and
messaging across all marketing collateral and channels. Prepare creative
briefs and plan and maintain all production schedules to deliver all
projects within targeted budget and deadline goals, including annual
catalog and monthly email blasts. Liaise with external creative agencies
and printers, gaining information through RFQs and negotiating best pricing
and purchasing terms. Collaborate cross-functionally at all hierarchies to
allocate staff resources, coordinate projects, and drive process
improvements. Hire, informally train, supervise, and evaluate as many as 15
associates. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records.
Played key role in producing $1MM in annual savings, as well as optimizing
valuable merchandizing and creative production time, by leading catalog re-
styling initiative and eliminating versioning redundancies.
Generated efficiencies and savings of $85K by serving as sole copywriter on
all new copy for 3,500 catalog pages in five major digital and print
catalogs, 500 e-mail campaigns, and numerous promotional materials since
4/2009.
Successfully maintained quality while reducing catalog production cycle by
four weeks, despite 70% reduction in workforce, through refining and
adapting production processes.
Decreased proofing costs by $40/page across 3,500+ pages by implementing in-
house proofing and cut paper costs by $80K for second half of 2010 with
