Thouroughbred Racehorse Groom
Black Oak Farm is a family owned thoroughbred racehorse breeding and
training facility. The horses trained at this facility run in races all
over the United States. This successful
equine center and trainer, Ray Tracy, is best known on their home track,
Prairie Meadows. Assisted trainer in all aspects of caring for a
thoroughbred racehorse including:
bathing, brushing, keeping mane trimmed, hoof care, leg care, feed,
water, clean stall, and walking horses on days they did not go to the
track.
Prepared and walked horse to the paddock for a race and cooled the
horse out after the race.
Saddled the horse for the jockey during training.

Iowa Heath Physicians and Clinics is a $235.9 million health care system
that is located throughout Iowa. IHP United Medical Park Clinic employed 5
full-time doctors and examined over 100 patients per day. As a triage
nurse, I gained experience by working with each physician on a daily basis.
Escorted patients to examination room and gathered all confidential
medical information such as: vital signs, current and past medication
list, health histories and concerns about health concerns.
Contacted insurance carriers to obtain precertifications and referrals
for medications and testing not authorized by the patients insurance
plan.
Assisted physician with bone and muscle manipulation as well as minor
skin procedures which included: shave, punch, excisional and incisional
biopsies.
Collaborated with medical staff and pharmaceutical representatives to
maintain and distribute sample medication.
Managed incoming and outgoing phone calls to assist patients with
medication refills, health concerns, and test results prior to the
scheduled appointment.
Educated patients to promote a positive healthy lifestyle.
Performed and recorded a variety of routine laboratory procedures such
as: venipuncture and finger stick blood draw and testing, collecting
and processing urine specimens, rapid influenza antigen testing and
throat cultures.
