Lab Technician
Manage and maintain one process and four propellant storage facilities. Maintain an inventory
database of all material in those facilities. Provide propellant and motor (gas generator & igniter)
transportation for both on and off-plant customers. Coordinate said moves with a chain of
management, engineers and internal customers. Follow planning to set up and manage propellant
aging studies and various material testing processes, including: Constant-load, temperature and
humidity variances. Keep Calibration Log System updated and data-recording instruments
calibrated (through Metrology).
• Oversee work on Army, Navy, Air Force, and NASA programs through their contracts with
ATK
• Assist with various government and company propellant and building audits, including:
ATF and Navy
• Create and maintain various forms of planning and provide presentations to various co-
workers/engineering/management
• Attend table-top review, safety and training meetings
• Provide on-the-job training for my back-ups
• Good inter-personal skills; communicate with customers, engineers and co-workers on a
daily basis
• Proficient at: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MSIS Inventory Database and E2 (job
scheduling and efficiency system)
• Operate various forms of equipment including: A lathe, guillotine and a dogbone stamper
• Perform forklift moves
