Design of after market electronic control products for trucks and heavy
equipment. Designed a master controller unit that accepts analog inputs
from up to 17 sensors and displays them on after market gauges. Data inputs
are from thermistors, thermocouples and pressure sensors. Responsible for
the entire design of the controller from design requirements to new product
introduction. Use LabView for testing designs.
6/20/05 -02/19/07 - Lattice Semiconductor - Designing high-speed circuit
boards for quality and reliability testing of FPGAs and cplds. This
includes writing requirements, circuit design, schematic entry, layout and
testing. The tests are designed to utilize all functionality of the device
and up to their maximum operating frequency. Frequencies range from 200 MHz
to 1 GHz. Experienced in VHDL and C programming. Other aspects involved
writing SPI interfaces and JTAG interfaces in VHDL.
1/10/05 - 6/19/05 - Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics - Test Engineer for a
Heads Up Display. My responsibilities were to write test plan and test
procedures for a particular HUD and perform electrical qualification tests
on the system such as lightning strike tests and various emi tests.
02/12/98 - 1/5/05 - Solectron, Inc Design and sustaining Engineer for the
Oregon Design Center
1. Circuit board design for a layer 2/3 and 4 Ethernet switch card. This
includes working with MPC8255 processor, 8051 processor and complex
communication Asics, schematic entry, pwb layout, design for manufacture
and test, debugging, and production transfer.
2. Design of the power distribution, sequencing and control circuitry for
complex circuit boards.
3.Knowledgeble in high-speed board design and emi control.
4.Very knowledgeable about the layout process and working with AutoCad
designers.
5.Redesigns involved developing design requirements, writing project
proposals, circuit design, pwb layout, design for manufacture and test,
debugging, and production transfer. Familiar with the NPI process.
6.Wrote and performed Hardware Validation Test plans. Provide support for
manufacture technicians and engineers.
07/01/88 - 02/10/98 - Lucent Technologies Field Applications Engineer
Responsible for installing turnkey systems for interoffice trunk testing
products. This involved system testing, working closely with customers,
customer support, and writing application documents.
