- Served as a Marine Corps Recruiter (MOS 8411) for three years,
including 18 months as supervisor for a 5 recruiter sub-station.
- Served as the senior member for interview panels to determine best
qualified applicants for various positions at Post Offices throughout
Okinawa, Japan.
- Manage five stationary Military Postal Facilities and two mobile
locations.
- Plan and coordinate global mail transportation with United States
Postal Service (USPS), Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force Central
Command (CENTAF) transportation.
- Coordinate with USPS, Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) and the
Joint Military Postal Activities, New York and San Francisco (JMPA-
LANT) (JMPA-SFRAN) on the movement of all mail for Camp Lejeune units
or units in support of II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF)
operations deployed world wide.
- Initiate, prepare and develop addresses for deploying military units
utilizing the Automated Military Postal System (AMPS).
- Monitor USPS and DoD Air Transportation air carrier contracts.
- Official Mail Manager overseeing Pitney Bowes Paragon Mail processing
machine to include oversight of all official mail funds utilized to
process mail for Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune.
- Plan and coordinate Military Postal Service (MPS) mail transportation
to supported camps and firm bases utilizing military air support and
civilian ground transportation.
- Supervise and monitor Postal Net Alerts (PNA) submitted into the
Automated Military Postal System (AMPS).
- Brief senior level management on establishment of deployed military
addresses, military post offices and mail routing procedures.
- Integral part in establishment of the Joint Military Mail Terminal
(JMMT) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom by determining location,
acquiring vehicle support and manning requirements.
- Served as the Marine Postal Officer for Operation Enduring Freedom
developed policies and procedures in the establishment of three full
service post offices and one Postal Operations Center to support
Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

- Supervise and instruct over 50 Marines, Soldiers and civilians in a
Joint Postal
Operations Center, ensuring duties and responsibilities are accomplished
expeditiously and in accordance with local directives, Department of
Defense (DoD) and USPS guidelines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5.7-
1.
- Supervise, manage and instruct over 30 Marines in a Postal Operations
Center, ensuring duties and responsibilities are accomplished
expeditiously and in accordance with local directives, Department of
Defense (DoD) and USPS guidelines in support of Operation Enduring
Freedom.
- Perform finance audits on postage stocks in excess of $300,000 and
administrative inspections of military postal facilities to include
all internal functional areas.
- Develop and publish mail handling and mail routing instructions for II
Marine Expeditionary Units.
- Review and revise postal directives, orders and manuals as required
- Investigate postal offenses, money order fraud, financial
irregularities, postal inquiries and complaints from the DoD and USPS.
- Prepare investigation reports and submit to higher headquarters,
Military Postal Service Agency and to the U.S. Postal Inspectors
office.
- Develop and prepare mail volume reports, chronological reports and
personnel performance reviews on a monthly, quarterly and annual
basis.
- Maintain and manage government transportation assets as the
Responsible Officer ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and all are in compliance with
Department of Transportation (DOT) safety guidelines.
- Prepare after-action reviews to identify shortfalls and lessons
learned in addition to developing corrective action reports.
