Qualifications:
I am knowledgeable in many current software applications. I have
above average skills for HR Profile, Great Plains Employee Systems, MS
Word and Excel. I have moderate skills for Access, PowerPoint,
ReportSmith and ADP Payroll in addition to internal databases. I type
50 to 55WPM and have data entry skills. And I have a strong
background in office management, accounting and human resources and am

2/2008-current Human Resources Specialist, Turner Bros, LLC.
I am responsible for all aspects of benefit administration
including health, income continuance, and 401K programs for
an interstate company of 750 employees. My duties include
enrollment, employee assistance, open enrollment, contract
negotiations, internal and external reporting, and
compliance with COBRA regulations. I also administer all
FMLA and short term disability claims. As the benefit
administrator, I am the point of contact for all employee
benefit questions and the intermediary for resolution of
claim issues with the benefit providers. Other duties
included pre-screening and interviewing prospective
employees, interface with contract agencies and employees,
administration of the DOT and non-DOT drug programs,
supervise drug program clerical staff, reconcile benefit
invoices for payment, plan and execute employee health
initiatives such as flu shot clinics and on site health
screenings, and administer the safety bonus program. I
have assisted in writing the current policies and
procedures and the employee handbook. My current projects
are the initiation of a benefits news letter and expanded
health screenings to include family members. Benefit

6/2006-2/2008 Human Resources Assistant, AAR Aircraft Services-

I was responsible for processing all pre-hire paperwork
including background checks and drug screens for new
employees. I also processed all new hire forms and
conducted new hire orientation. I was responsible for all
input to the HRIS database, employment verifications, and
audits for a staff of 975 employees both locally and at
satellite locations. Responsibilities included the
administration of all unemployment claims using the
contracted internet provider and participating in the
appeal process. I managed all data and interface with both
the Department of Homeland Security and the FAA regarding
airport security access and government regulation
compliance. I was the initial interface for the Human
Resource department and mediated/resolved most employee
disputes. I also was the backup the benefits specialist on
enquiries for the benefit programs and workers comp cases.
I was responsible for the maintenance of all employee
records. I also hosted company functions on a rotating
basis. I administered the uniform program and reconciled
all invoices processed for the Human Resources department.
I also assisted in writing policies and procedures for the
local facility working closely with the corporate office to

My initial position with the company was as the
receptionist. My duties included answering a multi-line
telephone system and as the point of contact for visitors
and vendors. My last position was as the Benefits
Specialist in the Human Resource Department. My
responsibilities for this position were the management and
administration of the benefit programs for a national
distribution company of 850 employees I was responsible for
the reconciliation of monthly benefit statements. I was
also responsible for the annual open enrollment and new
hire enrollments using the vendor Internet sites. I
managed the third party COBRA program that was handled in-
house until June 2005 and consisted of 43 participants. I
did the initial set up and I maintained the employee
information database (HR Profile) and was active in
implementing employee policy. I maintained personnel
records, planned employee events, ordered supplies, and
maintained the multi-line telephone and voice mail system.
I was an active member of the safety committee and assisted
in the resolution and counseling of employee related
issues. I created and processed monthly reports using
Report Smith and Excel. I was also responsible for all
government reporting regarding benefit programs. My duties
also included heavy interface with the payroll department.
I was the key point of contact for employment verifications
and was the back up for the worker's compensation,
unemployment, and FMLA programs. I supervised the
activities of the HR associate and compiled weekly
