Lead Operator- March 2008- January 2010
• Responsible for all aspects of workface operations of Middle Peninsula Landfill a 2,000 ton
per day facility including safety, environmental compliance, operator training.
• Increased profits by focusing on operational efficiencies such as matching equipment to
inbound tonnage, adjusting employee hours, maximizing leachate recirculation and creating a
team atmosphere.
• Direct supervision of more than twenty employees. Operations include earth moving
activities to build new waste placement cells and landfill capping, methane extraction system
installation and management in compliance with Title V Air Permit and solid waste
regulations.
• Improved cost per ton by reducing the amount of equipment down time, employee overtime
as well as the amount of rework required to maintain compliance.
CMI Inc. Monroe, North Carolina
Grade Foreman January 2005- March 2008
• Managed highway construction projects under contract and averaged 15% under budget
upon completion.
• Responsible for scheduling equipment, equipment operators, safety training and maintenance
for the multiple projects underway at the same time.

Rainwater Landfill Inc. Lorton, Virginia
Operations Supervisor 2002-December 2005
• Responsible for daily operation of construction and demolition (CDD) landfill a 2000+ ton per
day site, performed all safety& environmental compliance training. Incorporated a recycling
program to remove stumps for grinding, metal for resell, concrete to crush for road material,
cardboard to bale and resell, CFC containing items to evacuate and resell. This in turn saved
valuable airspace and produced revenue generating procedures while being environmentally
friendly. Responsible for the construction of clay lined cells in accordance with House Bill
1205 regulations, also a ten acre single lined cell with cuts and fills.
Potomac Landfill Inc. Dumfries, Virginia
Operations Supervisor 1997-2002
• Responsible for daily operation of a 100+ acre landfill that received 3000+ ton per day six
days a week also, maintenance facility, hauling company as well as an asbestos landfill in
Victoria Virginia.
• Developed and supervised a recycling program removing metal and CFC containing items
and separating per classification to maximize salvage value. Removed clearing debris to
grind and sell the mulch per/cyd. Cardboard removal to bale and resell crushed the concrete
for internal roads and resell to contractors. This program increased the available airspace
35% while generating revenues.
• Supervised from start to completion three lined cells also the successful closure and post
closure monitoring of an asbestos landfill.
• By close attention to safety, operator training, driver training, operations and hauling profits
increased 22% combined. Maintenance costs were reduced 25%.
