Lead Man-Warehouse division Earth
City Missouri
Duties: I was responsible for 30,000 feet of warehouse and all tractor-
trailer loads, unloads and appointments, I took care of all inventory
control by way of AS-400 and JD Edwards software, to meet customer
demands of orders taken from the cutting department. I was flown to
California to set up a new factory (warehouse part) in 2000, I
installed new racking system for inventory and training. In 2002, I was
asked to take a job in the Graphics department due to my experience in
computers. The Graphics department was set up on G4 and G5 Macintosh
system with the Cougar and Panther Operating System. My duties was to
setup a network with all Mac’s, Epson Printers, Epson Scanners and a
Image Center that printed onto a spool of film that was 200ft x 36in.
My responsibilities in this job was to take art work from the
customers, either by mail or e-mail and redo it so that it could be
printed onto their order of envelopes. Many times I had to contact the
customers to ask questions and sometimes redesign their art work if
they needed me too, or come up with new design of my own to help the
customer. Once the art work was ok, I would print out a sample and send
it to them by way of postal mail, to let them see what it would look
like on 24lb paper, they would sign off on it and then I would print it
to my Image Center on a negative. The negative would come out and be
placed on a light table so that I could make sure there were no defects
and that any line screens were printed out correctly. I would then take
it to the Dupont system to burn it to a plate and then the dry washout
system, the plate would be cut to size and then taken to the envelope
machine the order was to run on. I was the only one responsible for
this job 24 hours a day until Sept of 2005 when the plant shut down.
