requirements, worked with vendors, integrated the sub-systems, worked
with IT, operations, engineering, business development, and planning, and
tested the system in the laboratory and the field
. Planning engineer for the MMDS (2.5 GHz) RF system and the LMDS (28 GHz)
RF system at Sprint
. Built and tested optical fiber communications links (optical transmitters
and receivers) at Sprint - used optical multiplexing and compact disk
lasers in research to achieve high speed (multi-gigabit) and low-cost
links-completed additional testing of commercial optical fiber links

a 7-person staff accountable for the comprehensive creation and management

Designed, developed, and tested optical fiber communications links for
voice, data, and video services. Project manager for Hybrid Fiber Coax
network design and optical fiber to the home networks deployed by Sprint
for 8 million line network. Managed technical team responsible for DSL,
wireless, telephone equipment, optical fiber communications equipment,
broadband over power lines, and other communications technology planning
projects. Completed high speed laser communications link experiments in
Sprint laboratory. Completed analysis of MMDS (2.5 GHz) and LMDS (28 GHz)
microwave communications links. Designed and developed a commercial video
dial tone network that saved Sprint one million dollars over a competing
