POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Regional Manager of Procurement and Processing,
the incumbent provides clerical assistance/management in human resource
including staff schedules, payroll, and processing of employee paperwork
required from posting positions to interviewing and hiring & termination/
orientation. Co-supervision of the Nutrition and Food Services Department.
A secondary focus is data processing for the Regional Production Centre
and Garden Court Caf Hospitality Services. A high level of accuracy is
essential at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Services (50%)
Duties:
> Verifies staff attendance for a.m./p.m. shifts in an area management
role.
> As the "Master Time Keeper" posts time sheets in consultation with each
area manager.
> Accesses CONFIDENTIAL files of front line staff for information
processing and updating.
> Maintains up-to-date records of the relief and part-time staffing pool to
ensure this grouping is adequately utilized for those positions for which
they are cross-trained
> Addresses all staffing concerns regarding shift coverage and time away
based on established guidelines, hiring and termination.
> Processes staffing requests, address staffing and union issues and
concerns regarding scheduling based on established guidelines. Co-Manages
department and staffing office.
> Completes the paperwork required for Vacations and L.O.A.'s in
consultation for each area manager or with the Site Director of the
Department.
> Completes all required paperwork for new hires
terminations/transfers/promotions in consultation with co- manager.
> Prepares orientation information packages for new hires
> Does new staff introductions, locker assignment and uniform acquisition.
> Completes data input for Quality Assurance audits and satisfaction
surveys as required.
> Co-shares the task of weekly Payroll coding for the department using
posted time sheets according to established procedures
> Conducts vital information sharing via the established communications
media (e-mail, voice mail) within Department and with other departments
on and off site
Production Services (50%)
Duties:
> Completes/processes outgoing food requisitions
> Completes/processes month end bills to all regional sites
> Completes/processes cafeteria catering requests / schedule
> Completes/processes Month end billing including internal/external
catering
> Completes sales trending data entry
> Participates in the maintenance and updating of the production module of
the Computrition Data Base
