• Executive Administration - Typing confidential legal documents, call screening,

check printing and mailing, invoicing, client statements, data entry, design and

p roduction of client brochures and li terature, typing memos and letters.

• Desktop Publishing - Design and production of office stationary, business card and

letterhead, statements and invoices as well as new project packages. Image

manipulation, generation and clean-up.

• Desktop support - I was responsible for maintaining all PC's and laptops, setup,

i nstallation and maintenance of software and peripherals, research and ordering

supplies and parts as needed.

Reason for leaving: T he CEO decided to semi-retire and relocate out of state. At this

point I was not willing to relocate to California, or consider Independent Contract work

as offered with the CA Office.

Achievements: I dentified and corrected pre-existing errors on client statements and

c reated a system to automate monthly project revenue statements faster and with 100%

accuracy. This system also produced year to date figures for tax purposes and displayed

client expenses to provide a more complete report to clients on their investment.

Special Projects Coordinator

D uring my employment with this Corporation I held 3 different positions within the

D istribution Center:

• Receiving Clerk - Receiving, verifying merchandise, data entry, pick, pack and

shipping, invoice auditing, tagging.

• New Store Coordinator - In this position I was in charge of pulling merchandise

required to open a new store, auditing, tagging, verifying and reconciling invoices,

packing and producing packing slips. I also Coordinated shipping schedules with

t he shipping and logistics departments to ensure all new stores had adequate

merchandise in t ime for their Grand Opening.

• Special Projects Coordinator - I was the coordinator for the pick, retagging and

p ut-a-way of merchandise that required retagging, gift boxing or other special

handling. This role also included the t ransfer of merchandise to and from our

Canadian branch which required it to be retagged, audited and verified, keyed

i nto inventory and put-a-way in stock. I was responsible for teams of 2-30 people

depending on the project size and responsible for producing daily and monthly

p roductivity reports, as well as project status t racking reports.

In these roles I cross-t rained in every department and was t rained in the use of software

such as ELVIS, Retek and MOVE. My job also included the use of RF scanners for stock

balance and Inventory Control, and Excel for report generation.

Reason for leaving: I wanted to pursue a different career path.

D uring this period I was not authorized to work in the US, I initially entered the US on

an H4 spousal visa and this does not allow for paid employment. During this time I did

voluntary work for a number of organizations including: web design and maintenance for

political campaign sites, a no kill animal shelter, a local cancer survivor group and a

local racing team.

I a lso did voluntary work in a facility that did mail housing, and print for political

campaigns. This involved the use of print and mailing machinery, inserters, postage

machines, strip and burst, pre-sorting mail, mail merge, Data tape to CD/DVD

conversion.

scanning/OCR/Image manipulation of client materials and creating online profiles with

i nformation and images supplied.

Stay at Home Parent

1987-1999

I was a stay at home mom with two young stepdaughters. I had a number of short-term

positions over the years including food preparation, pre-pack, office assistant in a

chiropodist/podiatry office. I t was during this time my interest in photography began to

t ransition to digital media and I began to develop computer skills. I have never had any

formal t raining on computers, I am self taught and have continued to learn new skills

and software along the way.
