EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
Aviation Maintenance Administrator 6/2001 -
3/2005
United States Navy Lemoore, CA
. Maintained on a daily basis the Aircraft Discrepancy Books that track
all of the maintenance and inspections that are done for each of the
twelve aircraft that was assigned to the squadron. These books are
updated by inserting and removing the MAFS (maintenance action forms)
along with the corrective action forms. Maintenance action forms in
the Aircraft Discrepancy Books (ADB's) are the first thing that the
pilot reviews before their daily flight to prepare them and make them
aware of any changes made to the aircraft since their previous flight.
It is imperative that the ADB's are accurate, otherwise it may
disrupt the flight of the aircraft and could endanger the pilot's
safety.
. Tracked and logged all flight hours in Aircraft Logbooks in order to
maintain a schedule for the proper removal and inspection of all
necessary vital aircraft components. Each aircraft component has a
life cycle on it; meaning each component is able to endure so many
flight hours before an inspection is done or a replacement is needed.
This is done by inserting the flight hours of a newly installed
component into the Naval Aviation and Logistic Command Information
Systems (NALCOMIS) database. When it is time to turn in the vital
aircraft component, I document the total amount of flight hours
accrued so that an accurate lifecycle of the component is seen for all
maintenance facilities. NALCOMIS is the computer system the Navy uses
to track old MAFS, inspections, flight hours, and flights.
. Answered phones and handled customers in a professional and timely
fashion. Often, personnel need their NALCOMIS passwords changed or
other information changed.
. Edited the Monthly Maintenance Plan every month by using Microsoft
Word and Excel in order to layout the document according to design.
The Monthly Maintenance Plan is a schedule of all upcoming inspections
and events for the aircraft to keep them ready for flight. The
monthly maintenance plan (MMP) is important to the command because it
also shows new qualifications that have been accumulated in the
previous month such as collateral duty inspectors (CDI's).
. Updated technical publication library for the repair shops so that
they would have up to date technical information in order to perform
their necessary task.
. Prepared, recorded, and updated personnel musters, temporary
additional duty assignments, and recall bills
. Received, controlled, and destroyed classified material
