understand and interpret MSDS upon request. As well as picking, stowing and manifesting parts
and material to be shipped to appropriate locations inside and out the confines of Hill Air Force

Maintenance Knowledge: Snow removal, hauling of asphalt and rotomillings. Sign and
delineator repair and installation, concrete and cable barrier repair and installation, pothole
patching, job site preparations, littering, power brooming roads, shouldering, repair and
installation of fencing and guardrail, and etc. Scheduled material as needed for jobs worked.
Also required to inspect permits when issued on assigned routes and interpret and follow all
policies and procedures called out by the State of Utah.
All jobs that a Tech I and II needs for day to day responsibilities.
Construction Knowledge: Testing of asphalt, granular borrow untreated base, concrete, road
base, cement treated asphalt, sand and gravel. Laboratory testing has required use of nuclear
gauge, air gauge (concrete), and slump test, burn off ovens for asphalt, cylinders and beans for
concrete lab specimens. Lab testing has required the following development of skills:
Scheduling break days for concrete testing with Region One lab, training in testing procedures,
and notification of placement of asphalt. Interpret blueprints, inspected placement and removal
of borrow and roadway excavation, placement of untreated base course and treated base course,
bituminous seal coat and prime/tack coat, structures, traffic control and OSHA requirements,
assisting in meetings with contractors and engineers, which included scheduling, problem
solving, and etc. Developed skills in verbal communication with public, contractors and
engineering that have required tact, professionalism, and has involved sensitive situations, gained
knowledge in interpreting policies and procedures necessary for state regulations of inspection
and also wetland preservation. Documentation and recordkeeping of all materials, labor,
equipment, material removal/placement, man-hours, and scheduling for contracted jobs.
PMA’s (inspection and record keeping) of ten-wheelers, 1-ton trucks, loaders, sweepers,
compressor, dozer, crack sealer, concrete testing equipment, nuclear gauge, and etc.
I am also the RTEIC Representative for station 1427.
