Administrative Assistant Support/24 Hr Helpline Representative

Performed inventories of all supplies, created and maintained spreadsheets

of inventories, communicated with Administrative Assistant regarding

inventories, ordered, received, and shipped supplies, rearranged layout of

supplies for the department, and performed proper terminating procedures

for each former employee station.

Goals exceeded: Eliminated shortage of supplies, better usage of

resources, and clearer communication of inventory to Administrative

Assistant. Medtronic opened its San Antonio office August 2009.

Miscommunication occurred between the established Northridge, California

office and the new San Antonio, TX. The Administrative Assistant Support

position was created to address the insufficient infrastructure of supplies

and the storage system.

Pharmaceutical Assistant Volunteer

Assisted in reviewing inventory, addressed inventory shortages, updated

medical record files, filed medical records, explained dosage to patients,

packaged prescription medication, printed prescription labels and

facilitated as a liaison between doctor and patients.

Goals exceeded: Patients showed confidence in understanding medication

guidelines, ensured supplies were stocked and accounted for, assisted in

organizing patient files, and decreased patient wait time. The clinic

provided free services on Saturdays, which resulted in patients spending an

entire day at the clinic. Volunteers were delegated positions for the day

to address the wait time of the patients, the lack of the patient's

understanding of their prescribed medications, and the lack of efficiency.

Bilingual Social Science Research Associate

Assisted in development and preparation of grants and manuscripts,

translated documents into Spanish or English, researched, coordinated

meetings, trained new employees, answered phones, and other clerical duties

such as, but not limited to, faxing, copying, and filing.

Goals exceeded: Edited grants and manuscripts in a timely fashion, which

several grants were awarded and several manuscripts were published. Met

The geriatric division was in need of a research associate that would edit
