. Work with the cost accounting team to maintain the bill of materials
including material costs, labor, overheads, and freight costs for
domestically bottled and imported case goods from around the globe. Set
standard costs and conduct variance analysis. Currently dual accounting
systems are being ran, AS400 and SAP, which must remain in sync.
Knowledge of intercompany transfer pricing, foreign currency conversions,
and inventory control. Work with other team members located in Canada,
Mexico, Europe, and Australia.
. The last half of the year is focused on developing a COGS budget, labor
budget, and forecasting cases for the following year including domestic
and imported products.
. Key member in developing and implementing new processes in conjunction
with a new computer system, SAP, implemented in 2007. SAP has been
challenging in that it completely altered all previous accounting
functions.
. Perform various month-end close responsibilities including preparing G/L

. Responsible for the accounting of the Jim Beam American Outpost Gift Shop
including maintaining accurate inventory values, tracking daily deposits
and credit card sales, bank reconciliations, income statements, G/L
accounts, monthly expenditures, departmental budget, and various monthly
journal entries. Work closely with the Outpost retail manager to ensure
all accounting procedures run smoothly at the store.
. Work with plant personnel and Purchasing to identify and process obsolete
packaging supplies through the cost accounting system and obtain upper
management approval, resulting in the destruction of obsolete supplies.
