Work Experience:
Production Control Specialist, L3 Communications 2008 - 2009
I worked as the Production Control Specialist. My Responsibilities
include creating and tracking and Maintaining work orders numbering over
500 in the first 3months of the year alone and some 4500 since July of
2008, assisted coordinating logistics involved with providing work teams to
help support AVIM and DEPOT level repairs theater wide in Iraq also
preparing statistical reports that included work orders that were in work,
NRTS, and completed on a weekly basis for the AVCRAD's PC meeting.
Aviation Ground Support Maintenance, L3 Communications 2006 - Present
I am currently responsible for setting up a new site at a remote FOB in
Afghanistan. I am serving as the POC for the mechanics and supply
technicians. I am responsible for logistical and administrative challenges
associated with setting up a new site. Previously, I have repaired various
aircraft support equipment, to include: AGPUs, Hobart's, slings, Jacks,
light sets, Polaris Rangers, John Deer tractors, John Deer gators, high-
pressure washers, AWSs, and TEWS. I have traveled as necessary to remote
locations requiring little or no supervision. Responsible for setting up
AGSE in TiKrit Iraq.
MT Army National Guard
2004 - 2006
I spent a year working as an Emergency Hire Technician with the Montana
Army National Guard at the 208th RTI. The logistics required for both of
these jobs required great attention to detail and the ability to work with
little or no Supervision. The logistics for the Regional Training Institute
from classes to training and support fell directly in my duties. I served
as the Unit Administrative Specialist. I set up and maintained unit files,
assisted with personnel management, and monthly reports. I also spent a
year working with the Marketing Section of MT Army National Guard
Recruiting and Retention Command. I developed a process to track and
reward Soldiers who have recently re-enlisted. As part of the duties and
responsibilities the logistics and procurement fell directly on my position
to track and maintain items for ceremonies and I also worked on and
traveled to Freedom Salute Ceremonies providing essential operational
support. I assisted the Marketing NCO with designing, ordering, tracking,
budget, and distribution of merchandise. Our section was recognized for
outstanding performance by National Guard Bureau. During my tenure in the
Marketing Section, I developed ties across Montana and strengthened those
in Helena.
YMCA 2001 - 2004
I worked at the Helena Family YMCA for approximately 3 years. I spent one
year as an intern, then was hired as the Youth Sports Coordinator. Within
a year I was promoted to Youth Sports Director and shortly thereafter given
the additional responsibilities of Youth Camp and Middle School Sports. I
enjoyed the activities and freedom which allowed me to build upon existing
and introduce new programs. I handled the logistical challenges associated
with the coordination of equipment, recruitment, building team rosters,
handling parent complaints, scheduling activities, hiring personnel,
payroll, budget and transportation for my programs. During my tenure with
the YMCA I developed many useful ties within the Helena Community.
Electrical Equipment Installer, General Dynamics 1999 - 2000
Assisted engineer Provided Logistical support and supervised two laborers
with EMT, plenum inner duct, and other inside plant material in support of
the RDS, Cat-5 installation at Malmstrom AFB. Installed conduit and fiber
optic cable as part of outside and inside plant operations.
Electronics and Avionics Shop Supervisor, US Army 1998 - 1999
Supervised and provided technical support to subordinate personnel
performing aircraft electrical and instrument system maintenance.
Evaluated maintenance operations for compliance with technical manuals,
work standards, and safety procedures. Responsible for section training
program and assisted with unit training program. Ensured quality control
and maintenance management skills and procedures for aircraft and shop
operations.
MT Army National Guard /US Army 1989 - 1999
I served in the MT Army National Guard for 3 years. I spent 7 years on
active duty with the regular army. During my service in the regular army I
was required to have a secret security clearance. I was a 68F or Aircraft
Electrician, during this period of time. When I was released from active
duty I was the shop supervisor of the Avionics and Electrical Shop. My
general duties were to supervise the maintenance of Aircraft Electrical,
Flight Control, Stabilization Systems, and Instrument Systems. I evaluated
maintenance operations for compliance with technical manuals, work
standards, and safety procedures. I also ensured quality control and
sharpened my management skills to maintain successful shop operations.
During my tours of duty, I developed a deep appreciation for the military.
