Press Operations Specialist/ Journeyman Responsibilities included: Pre

press plate making, press make ready, reel make ready, general

production, and post press responsibilities in the mail room. Building

operations including the boiler and air conditioning systems. Also Simplex

and Trane building monitors and PLC’s. Lead person on water purification

for the printing press.

Equipment experience:

* TKS 12 unit double width web offset printing press including 2 M 72 4

color units with adjacents, and 2 color top 6000 towers. With a 3 2 folder.

* ABB color consoles

*Automated Registration Process

*Proficient and licensed to operate both Cat and Clark clamp trucks and

fork lifts

Other qualifications to be considered was that I was the sole day pressman

for 4 years where my responsibilities included overall maintenance of the

two tower units, and the entire web tensioning system and maintenance. I

was also the lead person on the safety team where I helped the team

accomplish Silver and 2 Bronze awards for safety excellence as well as a

reduction in waste.

Also developed the humidification process for the paper storage area.

Worked closely with building maintenance in the operation of the boiler

and air conditioning units.
