signal generator, multi-meter, oscilloscope and other specialized

testing equipment.

. Data Acquisition Systems AVL and WDAS, diagnosed and repaired

instrumentation problems, setup communication, designed and built test

instruments, researched new instrumentation and repaired PC boards.

Experience

Started in a small electronics shop repairing TV, radio and AV equipment.

Trained in the Air Force in aircraft electrical repair worked on verity of

electrical systems from power generation to lighting performed bench

testing and repair on AC and DC circuits.

After discharged worked in instrumentation, building and repaired grain

drier instrument control systems using assortment of testing equipment.

Took a job for two years with CENTEL where working on central office

switching equipment both electromechanical and electronic also performed

bench testing and adjusting electromechanical switches.

Then went to Varityper for thirteen years installing, troubleshooting and

repairing computerized phototypesetting systems. Also adjusted and aligned

diskette drives and hard drives using Oscilloscope and Multi-meter also

calibrating lasers using specialized tools adjusted repaired lasers

printers. Continued my education by attending Illinois Central College

where I received an AAS in Data Processing Technologies and a COBOL

certification with a 3.28 GPA.

Following school worked for two years at Caterpillar Tractor as a Lab

Technician diagnosing and repainting ECM control circuit boards for gas

engines. Building prototype electronic circuit boards and testing them

using an HP diagnostic system and environmental chambers.

Took a position as a Programmer Analyst for OSF Healthplans writing

reports using COBOL for one year then changed to MS Access, VBA, Sybase SQL

for fore years, then moved into System Specialist, set up a small server

for working with file transfers using VB, DOS, FTP and PGP data inscription

through a scheduler called Automate for three years.

Worked for ATS for one year and six months at Caterpillar setting up Data

Acquisition Systems WDAS and AVL Indicom for diesel engine testing.

Diagnosed instrumentation problems flow, pressure and temperature.

Calibrating pressure transducers Dynisco, and Sensotec, load cells and LVDT

instruments. Also testing and repairing electronic motor control circuit

boards. Lastly worked for URS at Caterpillar setting up Data Acquisition

Systems WDAS and AVL Indicom for diesel engine testing designed and built a

device to simulate a transducer to troubleshoot system failures.
