Provided classroom leadership in Math and Reading for the development of approximately 50 students. Supervised and

mentored the 5th & 6th grade teachers as the Lead Teacher in performing at optimal levels.

Provided challenging academic strategies for the students to overcome the fear of testing and the fear of not being

able to learn the information being taught.

Executive Director/Superintendent, Nia University Community School NUCS (2006 2009)

Develop and maintain the vision and mission of the school from all aspects of operations. Directed teams of stakeholders in

stakeholders in creating the educational framework that supported individual and group academic growth.

Key Achievements:

Maintained full responsibility for over $1 million general funding budget as well as planned and developed a

spending program for (administrator of) an additional $450,000 Public Charter School Program Grant, and

approximately $350,000 in Title funds.

Wrote the grant to obtain a Federal funded package for program development to increase academic growth of

$450,000 awarded

Networked with local businesses and philanthropist and obtained $120,000 in kind donations

Budget/payroll management assuring that NUCS maintained its projected submission to the Board of Directors.

Regional Consultant, Lucas County Educational Service Center LCESC (2005 2006)

Serve/Oversee 17 Ohio Charter Schools in the Greater Cincinnati and Middletown areas with hands on training, networking,

and professional development for Ohio Department of Education compliancy. Provided leadership with the team to

complete audits of all 70 of the LCESC sponsored schools across Ohio. Our goal was to assist each charter school

individually and collectively to meet the federal and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) compliance standards.

Liaison for the charter schools with Public School system needs collaborating to provide avenues to better serve the

student population collectively.

Review/audit of facility (visual walk through and documentation of said premises) to assure Federal, ADA, and ODE

4th Grade/Computer Teacher, Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy CCPA (2004 2005)

Taught inner city students the process in obtaining high levels of achievement set by the Teacher as well as individual goals.

I taught using the holistic approach through cooperative learning, which increased the student’s ability to master their work

through peer tutoring which also increased their leadership skills for future use. My students were well equipped to pass the

fourth grade proficiency test required by the Ohio Department of Education.

Key Achievements:

43 out of 48 students (in two classes) passed the fourth grade Math proficiency test. 96% of my class passed the

proficiency test.

90% of my class returned to CCPA the following year excited about learning.

100% parent participation in the education of their children from my class

70% student involvement in after school activities/clubs (transportation issues for some students)

Ensuring all data/demographic information for 300+ students was successfully entered and reported. These reports are

then given to the Principal, Superintendent, and the Ohio Department of Education. Reports of this nature are ongoing

throughout the school year for students withdrawing, enrolling, and modifying information. These reports are vital for

accurate payment to Greater Cincinnati Community Academy, Inc. from federal and state funding, teacher/student ratio, and

maintaining student information for cumulative files.
