Objective
I am striving to get a permanent job preferrably in the
office area. I would like to achieve a professional career
as a receptionist, assistant or secretary.
Work History
June 2009 to Aug 2009
Temporary Office Assistant
Lincolnville Town Hall
Lincolnville, SC
During my time at the town hall, I assisted the mayor,
filed papers, organized, answered phones,
stuffed/mailed bills and located files.
Temporary Office Assistant
Charleston Southern University
Charleston, SC
I worked in the Alumni Office of CSU. My duties included:
handling checks, typing letters, running errands,
answering phones, stuffing/mailing letters for CSU's
President, placing data into the computer, making copies
and filing.
Education
Aug 2008 to Apr 2009
Charleston Southern University
Charleston, SC
During my time at CSU I attended class as well as work
through the year. Doing this helped me get more familiar
with the staff and other employees besides just the
teachers.
Aug 2004 to June 2008
Summerville High School
Charleston, SC
As a student at SHS, I was part of the choir, member of
the Key Club, and a Student Volunteer. Being a student
volunteer helped me understand the world of assisting. I
assisted the principals which required me to: run errands,
babysit, file, and organize.
Software/System Skills
I have taken a keyboarding course in middle school, so
that and my previous work has given me the ability to
work with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Publisher
and other databases.
Language Skills
I have taken Spanish courses from 9th grade to my
freshman year at CSU. I can't speak it fluently, but I am
able to comprehend most words as well as read them.
