Patient account Rep for the billing center for various Urgent Care Clinics
supported by PV Billing. Take incoming and place outgoing calls regarding
patient accounts. Problem- solving medical claims issues, resolving
insurance payments and non payment issues. Being an advocate for the
patients in order to obtain benefits payments, medical appeals, and help in
obtaining patient financial aid. Analyzing clinic specific protocols and
spreadsheets in order to make sure all claims and accounts are processed
correctly. Initiating claims appeals with insurance companies as well as
medical review boards. Handling of patient complaints regarding charges
incurred and quality of service given at the specific clinics.

Material Administrator/EDI Co-coordinator/Customer Service
While at Bergstrom I worked as a Customer Service representative for the
first year. Duties Included: Order Entry, Maintaining orders for customers
ensuring that orders were met on time and maintaining strong on time
delivery goals. Working with planners, and production teams to ensure
orders were met, shortages were reported, and kept customer's changes in
orders updated. Keeping track of on time delivery for each customer that I
was responsible for. I also assisted in the planning of some of the
material that was needed to drive my customer base. I then became an
expeditor, I worked with the planners and buyers to help drive in material
for past due Purchase Orders as well as material that would become a
shortage. I maintained shortage sheets with updated dates/answers as to
when the supplier would be able to deliver parts that were need to keep the
lines running and followed up Daily on them. I also maintained a weekly
spreadsheet of past due Purchase Orders and Purchase Orders that were due
out one week, in order to prevent them from ending up on the shortage
sheets and to help eliminate any upcoming PO's that would be going past
due. Kept track of Bergstrom's overall on time delivery, Quality, Absence,
and Tardy goals by updating/maintaining Daily spreadsheets to reflect our
percentages versus our goals. Handled the transmittal and distribution of
EDI Reports every morning to each Customer Service Rep as well as the
sending of 810's (Electronic Billing) of customers in order to get paid for
invoicing of goods sent. I was responsible for backing up all customer
service team members while they were out for any reasons sometimes for long
periods of time for vacations and Family leaves. I routinely took on added
responsibilities for my leader as needed.
