Work Experience
-December 2007 to present, Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals, Office of
Behavioral Health – Addictive Disorders Clinic in Ville Platte, Louisiana .

My responsibilities include answering calls for the clinic, scheduling appointments for potential and
active clients, staff payroll, billing the client for services, billing client services to insurance companies
including Medicaid and Medicare, property liaison for the clinic which keeps inventory of state property,
order medical supplies and office supplies for the clinic, maintaining a budget for the clinic. I am also
responsible for financial intake of the clients when the person has been admitted to the clinic for
substance abuse issues.

Weekend Shift Manager
My responsibilities were to answer all incoming calls related to domestic violence. During the crisis call I was
responsible in seeing that the caller was safe and could talk. If possible get the victim to come to the shelter where she
would be admitted to the shelter as a resident. I also had the responsibility of making sure all the residents were safe,
not sick, and maintained their responsibilities while on my shift.

My responsibilities there were to perform receptionist duties, sort mail, inventory of state property, and
relay calls to the proper person.

I was hired as a job appointment in the Enforcement Division temporarily while the secretary had
surgery. From there I was hired permanently in the Legal Division. I answered all incoming
calls to that department and relayed the call to the proper attorney. I was responsible for the
weekly payroll of the department, and was the Fire Safety warden for that department/floor. I
was assigned to an attorney where I worked closely with Paralegals to provide support when
needed in typing documents needed for files and court.
-August 1992 to April 1993, JE Merit Constructors, subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering
Group in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Timekeeper
I had the responsibility of keeping daily/weekly payroll for contract employees working at the BASF
Chemical plant in Geismar, Louisiana. I also had the responsibility of all clerical task and
typing monthly manager’s reports. While working there I would also sign new employees up
and discuss with them what benefits that they could obtain.
-August 1989 to August 1992, Jacobs Engineering Group, Accounting, in Baton
Rouge, Louisiana.
Payroll Clerk
I was responsible for payroll of three field projects on a weekly basis, as well as, paying garnishments of
craft/contract employees on a weekly basis. I typed W-2 forms for staff employees and also was
responsible for typing benefit cards of staff employees who wanted to contribute to the United
Way.
