course brochures and Save the Date reminder postcards; National and
International conference materials including program books, exhibit and

1990 - 1998 Graphic Designer and Communications Coordinator
St. Johns River Water Management District
Directed the highly visible and productive Communications section of the
Public Relations division for a water resource agency encompassing one-
fifth of Florida. Developed and implemented state-wide and targeted
audience campaigns and special events. Oversaw the logo design, press kit
and other support material development for the largest waterway clean-up
ever organized in Florida.
. Supervised an award winning staff of graphic artists, photography and
audiovisual artists, and managed contracts with outside consulting
firms/advertising agencies/freelance writer and graphic artists which
created regional and state-wide informational, educational and public
awareness campaigns for the District and the state of Florida.
. Managed an annual print budget of $150,000 and a consultant budget of
$100,000. Streamlined the retrieval of negative flats, standardized
print specification writing and tracking, reprinting and ordering
process for the District resulting in a man-hour cut of 2/3 and
eliminating backlog of reprint requests.
