Responsible for strategy and development of marketing programs for Internet-
based social media / communities, including the development of Millennium
Hotels & Resorts Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel, and
LinkedIn group. Precise uses of social media include:
Head of Online Customer Engagement and Crisis Management:
- Continuous monitoring of social networks like Facebook, Twitter,
TripAdvisor, and Yelp; as well as hospitality-related blogs and
forums, for positive and negative feedback on the Millennium Hotels
brand.
- Engage with past, present, and future guests to answer

collected to properly target the demographic on various networks.

Responsible for improving the day-to-day communication among all Millennium
Hotels & Resorts employees by using the latest tools and technologies. This
includes:
Conception, development, design, rollout, and maintenance of the
My Millennium Intranet.
- Conducting surveys and focus groups of employees to discover the
largest communication problems that plague the company.
- Developed a plan to address those communication problems.
- Created an Intranet consisting of internal blogging, a private
social network, and connections to communication platforms that have
already been implemented; like the wiki.
- Continue to create content and improve upon features using
feedback and suggestions from employees.
Create employee training videos and presentations.
- Screencasts are made for employees who need an instructional
walkthrough of new software and services.
- Keynote / PowerPoint presentations are created to assist with

Systems Engineer

Maintained network and system functions for 18 Hotel Properties located in
the United States, accommodating over 1400 users and over 1500 devices.
Provided 24/7 support for a corporate level datacenter consisting of
Exchange and Citrix Applications. Used Active Directory Tools, DHCP, and
DNS daily.
Served as Lead Project Manager for multiple company-wide
projects, including:
- Creating and maintaining the Millennium Hotels Wiki, using
MediaWiki, which housed documentation and support information for all
departments.
- Implementing internal and external blogging, using Wordpress,
used by the heads of all departments, as well as our Executive
Committee
- Designing the Millennium Hotels Intranet using Joomla!
- Rolled out Social Media plans for the company; which included
sites like: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Yammer, and Craigslist.
Performs SQL Database administration and restoration on multiple
databases
Supports two separate Citrix farms load balanced across 12
servers, which are used by staff located across the globe. These farms
run Microsoft's Dynamics business management software and Newmarket
International's Delphi sales and catering system.

clustered configuration and housing 1000+ mailboxes.

March 2005 - October 2006
Managed day-to-day IT operations for a four-star downtown St. Louis hotel.
Maintained 80+ Novell/Windows based workstations for the administration
staff. Worked with guests who had IT issues concerning Internet
connectivity, telephone operation, and print/fax capabilities. Complied
with industry standards in information security, data management, and
network layout; which passed internal and external IT audits.
Served as project manager for company-wide changeover to Voice
Over IP (VOIP) using the Asterisk open-source PBX software.
Installed and administered Windows 2000 / 2003 servers running
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Data Storage, and SQL Databases.
Provided End-User support for Citrix Presentation Server Clients
access one of two separate Citrix farms.
Configured and deployed the hotel's backup software (Symantec
Veritas), anti-virus (Trend Micro and Symantec), and Firewall/IDS system
(Fortinet).
Rewired and re-racked dozens of servers and network devices with
the latest in rack mounting and cable management products.
Assumed responsibilities as Security Surveillance Engineer.
During this time I have installed 3 new surveillance cameras, 2 Digital
Video Recorders, and replaced 2 out-of-date existing cameras.
Provided 24/7 on-call tech support for guests and staff at the
St. Louis, MO property.
Devised IT related projects that promote cost savings and
revenue generation.
