transferred to the Bindery Department to be trained and operate 26" and 30" Stahl folders,

work on 20" MBO folders and Polar cutters, for my last 72 months.

whether the problems were with the equipment or the operators. For example, I traveled to
Pacific Rotoprint Co., 2832 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, CA to advise them on their new
six-color 28”x40” Omsaha offset, sheet-fed printing press, and I performed similar duties for
Virginia Lithograph, 932 N. Kenmore Street, Arlington, VA on their new six-color 22”x28"

-- I was trained in Aviation Maintenance to work as a Crew-Chief on single and twin-engine,
fixed-wing aircraft, including turbo-prop twin-engine Beechcraft.
-- I served for 19 months in Vietnam as a Crew-Chief on single-engine [1 pilot + 1 observer]
reconnaissance aircraft. Our unit flew recon-missions in support of operations during the
63 day siege of Khe Sanh, 4 different operations in the A Shau Valley, the 1968 TET Offensive,
coordinated Naval fire for the battleship U.S.S. New Jersey, and targeted fire for U.S. Air Force
jet-fighters, while flying regular daily missions in I CORP [from Da Nang, north to the DMZ].
-- I received countless medals for service in Vietnam, but the one I was proudest of was my
AIR-MEDAL, for many hours of flight-time (accompanied by a pilot) over enemy territory,
and survived.
-- When I returned to the States, I was assigned to Stewart AFB outside of Newburgh, NY for
my last 9-months of service, and worked as a Crew-Chief on twin-engine passenger airplanes.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit:
issued by the Federal Communication Commission [FCC] in 1969.
-- This permit was required to operate the airplane radios, when I was training to earn my
Private Pilot License [single-engine aircraft].
-- In 1978, I needed this same permit, to work as a part-time AM/FM Radio Announcer.
Lift Truck Operators Permit:
issued by Compliance Management International in 2003.
