Career Summary
Fourth grade teacher, 2009-2010. Homeschooled my son who is diagnosed with dyslexia and
dysgraphia. Multisensory and auditory approaches used while strengthening all areas of learning
through use of theme-driven curriculum incorporating learning through creative arts and travel.
English teacher, 2008-2009, St. Paul’s Academy, Hollywood, SC. Taught English composition,
grammar, literature, reading, and study skills to students in grades 5-12. Served a student
population with widely diverse learning needs, abilities, backgrounds, and exceptionalities.
Sponsored special events. Provided college application assistance for high school juniors and
seniors with fundraising events. Participated successfully with students in local poetry, fiction,
essay, and autobiography writing seminars and contests resulting in monetary and scholarship
awards. When Board voted to close upper school after 41 years, helped high school students with
transition and letters of recommendations to new schools.
Self-employed, 2006-2008. Created and marketed individualized instruction and academic
