MANAGEMENT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
MANAGEMENT
1. While working for Triarc on the hotel job site in Manhattan I helped the
Project Manager to coordinate sub contractor trades on site. As there was a
General Contractor involved we actually managed the GC with the owner and
the hotel management company to make sure things didn't get lost in the
shuffle. As you know many times perhaps an electrician will bring up
obstacles with a plumber and neither will coordinate properly with owner or
operator who may be aware of other issues or corporate decisions that
conflict with a field decision made between the trades to solve an issue.
2. In addition when I worked in their office I would assist in office
coordination as well with supplies, document processing of executive's
approvals prior to returning or filing, etc.
3. Also when I was an Assistant PM on this job site, part of my time was
spent walking around and making sure employees of the subs were doing what
they were required to do and if it appeared they were goofing off or doing
something wrong, you would need to confront them about it.
4. When I was working at Subway I would close the store with one other
employee and sometimes by myself, including: re-stock for morning crew,
make sure clean up is done, list of low supplies needed, and cashing out
the register, depositing cash in the on-site safe.
