Dispatch Supervisor 2005 to Feb 2010
As Dispatch Supervisor:
• I was a member of the transportation departments logistics team for the P&C Food Mkts
division. That included working with the merchandising dept and outside vendors for
inbound freight, providing both shipping warehouses their load plans for outbound freight,
assigning drivers for runs who were in compliance with D.O.T. regulations and making
sure all runs were covered and delivered on time (Teamster environment). Handled a
high volume of calls on a daily basis. These calls consisted of customer service to our
stores as well as assisting other departments within the company with their transportation
needs. Also served as backup for our lead dispatcher and backup for our payroll
specialist when needed.
Traffic Specialist 2001 to 2005
As Traffic Specialist:
Managed our Customer Pickup Program which involved arranging pickup of product via P&C
trailers and outside carriers. This includes communication and coordination with P&C
merchandisers, outside vendors and brokers, my own shipping and receiving
departments as well as outside production plants warehouse operations. I was
responsible for processing all freight payments and maintaining spreadsheets to report
profit each period. Another duty was working with our accounting dept to resolve any
shortage/overage/damage problems reported by our warehouse.
Warehouse shipping office 2000 to 2001:
General whse office staff
•Worked as backup help in the shipping & receiving office. This consisted of assisting or covering
for the manifest clerk, production coordinator, appointment/grocery receiving secretary
and helping the inventory control dept. until my promotion to the traffic department.
P&C Reclamation Center Nov 1991 to closing of that operation in 2000:
Warehouse laborer
•Using assembly line format, sorted and segregated all damaged product sent to us by our stores
and arranged for return to vendor. Also repacked all holiday and promotional product and
prepared for shipping via Fed Ex, UPS, USPS etc. back to vendors. Worked with the
Food Bank of C.N.Y. to reclaim product that could be donated to them. O.S.E.A. certified
to operate forklift and electric pallet jack.
Additional Experience
Working knowledge of most PC applications, Manugistics truck routing software, Rumba
mainframe system, Lawson accounting system, Visual Labor Management (VLM), attended many
O.S.E.A. training classes and was O.S.E.A. certified to operate electric pallet jack and forklift.
Kept current with D.O.T. rules and regulations. Managed truck drivers in a teamster environment;
I had understanding of and kept in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement with
Teamsters local 317. 2 yr degree in Early Childhood Education from Cayuga Community college.

Further Information About Myself
I started work at P&C Foods in Nov of 1991. In my years with the company I have held positions
in many departments and have been steadily promoted due to the following traits: Excellent
communication skills. Very organized and able to meet deadlines. Strong problem solving skills.
Dependable, professional and conscientious. Able to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.
Perform well under pressure in a fast paced work environment. I feel that my experience and
