Aerotek 2007 to 2009

Assistant Scientist

Performed fermentation and cell culture for the Biologics Development Laboratory at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Ran fermentation and mammalian cell culture experiments for Protein Therapeutics Development.

Analyzed microbial performance through sampling fermenters for dissolved oxygen, pH, dry cell weight,

viscosity, percent solids, and optical density.

Operated numerous 5 liter BioFlo fermenters, 80 liter Mobile Pilot Plant, 160 liter fermenter, micro 24, and

numerous 3 liter bioreactors.

Performed DNA extraction, PCR, cloning, cell bank generation and maintenance, and gel electrophoresis.

Versed in process development, aseptic technique, bacterial plating, equipment calibration, data entry, and

buffer and media production.

Assisted in running ATKA Explorer for liquid chromatography.

Determined protein concentration by spectrophotometry, monitored purity using SDS page, and tested for

endotoxins.

Custom Muscle Restoration, Customization, and Powder Coating 2005 to 2007
