To Whom It May Concern:
This letter and resume is being sent to you in response to your
advertisement for the position of receptionist/administrative assistant. I
would love the opportunity to work for your company. I am very interested
in filling this position and look forward to the experiences I will gain if
I am hired.
I am a resourceful, creative, and diligent individual. I work well in a
team setting but can work individually when needed. Some qualifications I
possess include computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel,
multi-tasking abilities, organizational skills, people skills, clerical
skills such as scanning, filing, and other tasks, leadership ability, and
professional public speaking abilities.
My experiences and class work at Quincy University helped to prepare me for
this industry. They provided me with the necessary computer skills for this
position. I majored in history, and the capstone project required
substantial research, two twenty-five to thirty page papers, and public
presentations of the completed papers. I served as secretary for Phi Alpha
Theta, Quincy University's historical fraternity. My responsibilities
included providing members with minutes from meetings and assisting in the
planning of fraternity events. In addition, I competed on the Women's
Tennis Team and was selected as co-captain in 2009. I am currently
interning at the Missouri History Museum in the events department. These
experiences have helped prepare me for any job where clerical skills, multi-
tasking, and time-management are crucial.
I would be honored to be a part of the team. My qualifications in computer
skills, organizational skills, clerical skills, and time-management have
prepared me for the position of receptionist/administrative assistant. I
would love the opportunity to be a part of the team. Please feel free to
contact me at 314-***-**** or email me at abiyow@r.postjobfree.com. Thank you for
your consideration.
Sincerely,
Kristine Madras
