Manage daily operations of an emergency vehicle dealership’s service department comprised of 12 apparatus

technicians. Duties include coordinating service and repairs, preparing service contracts, process work orders

and invoices, order parts from various vendors, assign and supervise technicians’ work assignments’ schedule

appointments and regular service intervals for customers, provide on-site service, perform engine/chassis and

apparatus repairs, etc.

Performed maintenance, customization and repair of emergency equipments, including but not limited to

pump/valve repairs (i.e. pump rebuild, valve replacement), electrical system repairs (i.e. wiring, lighting,

installation), automatic tire chain installation, chassis service, custom compartments accessories & equipment

mounting, brush trucks, preventive maintenance, ambulance repairs, aerial ladder repairs/testing/ certification,

A/C repair & service, DOT inspections, custom fabrications, etc.

Assisted in the implementation of Pierce Suspension & Cab Trunion Campaign, which included replacing drag

link/pitman arms, reset toe, adjust ride height, install cab trunion cylinder plates, etc. Performed minor or major

engine repair and welding.

Perform minor and major repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks. Minor repairs includes, but not limited to,

electronic diagnosis, trouble shooting, trouble shooting, fault code, electronic wiring diagram schematic and

rewiring. Major repairs includes, but not limited to, tune-ups, engine over haul, transmission and drive train

repairs, injector replacement, installing calibration codes, ECM replacement and reprogramming.

Perform clerical duties, including filling out work order, prepare warranty report, document work performed for

warranty/customer service purposes, photocopying, faxing, etc.

Other duties include accessing vendors’ webpage via internet to trouble shoot problems and obtain updated

information (i.e. bulletins, recalls, newsletters, new software update). Establish strong working relationship

with truck driver/owner and engine manufacturers to resolve repair needs. Manage night shift, which entails

supervising three diesel technicians.
