2010 to present Department of Veterans Affairs-GS/5 Program Support
Assistant Tucson, AZ 85729 Supervisor of the front office of the
Homeless program care line as the program support assistant for the
Department of Veterans Affairs. I ensure that the homeless veterans in the
Tucson area and the outlying areas have the ability to receive food,
medical care, clean clothing and the vouchers to receive housing. I
maintain a budget of over two million dollars annually to keep the program
running. I support fifteen social workers, a nurse and the clinical
director of this program. I manage as an alternate preparer the
FedTraveler, travel arrangements for the entire care line. I order the
supplies for the care line in excess of twenty thousand dollars annually
through Hoffman supplies. I maintain a small fleet of vehicles for the care
line with the use of the vehicles dispatched by my office.

My duties were to teach mathematics to children ages 16 - 18
in the Department of Juvenile Justice System (D.J.J.). These
students were either voluntarily or involuntarily removed
from the public schools system and through any number of
channels, whether personal or State were re-routed into the
youth challenge academy. The Salkehatchie Youth Challenge
Academy is a last ditch effort to provide these individuals
with a GED. The program is a pseudo Military environment
geared towards installing discipline while providing an
opportunity to further their education.
