EXPERIENCE
10/06- current Kern County Dept. of Mental Health - Clinical
Psychologist
Lead clinical position on Forensics team (8/07 - current).
Conduct various forensic evaluations for Kern County
Superior Court, including: P.C. 1370(individuals found
incompetent to stand trial), P.C. 288.1 (recommendation of
probation for sex offenders), and P.C. 1026 (placement
recommendations for NGRI). Provide courtroom testimony
regarding evaluations. Supervise and oversee restoration
training to determine when competency has been restored.
Administer psychological testing to address various
treatment concerns including: malingering, organicity,
differential diagnosis, etc. Supervise all psychological
testing throughout department. Conduct individual and
group therapy for forensic population, including: sex
offenders, not guilty by reason of insanity, felony
probationers, etc. Function as department supervisor on
interim basis. Train new staff. Primary supervisor for
doctorate level psychology intern students.
Lead clinical position on Super Assessment Center team (10/06 -
8/07). Administer all psychological testing for program.
Conduct standard mental health assessment as well as
specializing in assessments for the Juvenile Justice Center
for individuals involved in CPS investigations. Review
diagnostic impressions and treatment referrals from other
therapists on team. Conduct weekly clinical team meeting.

with autism and autistic spectrum disorders. Develop and
implement behavioral modification programs for clients.

12/00- 8/02 NASA's Classroom of the Future -Research Assistant
Work directly under Dr. Neil H. Schwartz, Ph.D., psychology
professor at CSU Chico in conducting research for COTF.
The project is designed to examine the utility of
metaphorical priming in problem-based learning using a web
environment. High school seniors were assessed for amount
of acquired learning of the U.S. Constitution using a web-
based instructional program that employed age appropriate
metaphors as a means of instruction. Control group was
taught with the same web-based program using traditional
teaching methods, without the presence of metaphors.

Conducted family therapy sessions in a team format for
families in the community referred to the university
psychology department by the local school district.
