PROFESSIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collectively, with Sr. Project Manager, responsible for the profitable
execution of assigned project's construction, quality, and safety
compliance. Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time,
billed within budget and within scope of the contract while maintaining
profitable construction practices. Actively pursue selling change orders.
Ensure work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal
requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Assure
and ensure staff and subcontractors adhere to all construction, quality,
and safety standards. Responsible for following consistent and repeatable
project management procedures and processes. Maintain an effective balance
between customer satisfaction and profitable project end results without
sacrificing quality, safety, and contractual compliance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Act as the primary Quality Management Director for Quality teams on
assigned projects. Interpret, adhere, and improve project schedules
and execute according to plan for assigned projects from pre-
construction / bid phase to project close-out.
2. Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client
issued bulletins, addendums, field directives and / or scheduling
changes. Actively pursue additional work through change orders.
Perform associated cost estimates, prepare proposals and negotiate
final settlement price and customer acceptance.
3. Coordinate the preparation of, establish, and compose site specific
Quality Plans; review and approve quality-related procedures
associated with the projects to ensure compliance with the Project
Quality Control Program / Plan.
4. Verify costs, billings and collections. Assist in developing cost
estimates and sub-contractor scope documents and solicitations for
bids. Verify project billings for submittal in a timely and accurate
manner. Maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow.
5. Review, interpret, and enforce contract procedures, standards, and
safety codes.
6. Effectively communicate project progress, issues and financial
status to management as required.
7. Manage risks and establish project recovery plans when required.
Resolve disputes with minimal need for escalation. Conduct voluntary
audits and authorize resolutions. Identify deficiencies, initiate
documented action, and verify implementation of solutions to the non-
conforming actions / conditions.
8. Oversee project construction for compliance with specifications,
local codes and installation techniques.
9. Oversee the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials
to be procured for the projects assigned and assure proper
documentation supports the material deliveries and meets the
requirements.
10. Act as liaison and develop and maintain viable long-term
relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors,
subcontractors, State, local, and Federal Agencies.
11. Attend job progress meetings as required. Ensure subcontractors,
field management, and project team members understand expectations of
the project.
12. Coordinate with the Regional Operations Manager and / or Senior
Project Manager for allocation of resources needed to meet project
objectives, safety, and quality standards. Ensure any engineering
and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with
established standards. Facilitate escalation of product related
problems.
13. Responsible for the audit timeline and project execution. Assist in
determining final cost for close-out.
14. Plan, staff, manage, and coordinate personnel recruitment, training
requirements, project assignment, and performance evaluations.
15. Proven ability and reliable reputation to independently manage
several projects collectively with proficiency in plan / design
reading and interpretation with a strong knowledge and interpretation
of industry standards and specifications.
16. Coordinate and schedule governing audits to determine program
compliance as required by the contract documents.
Successful implementation of the above listed knowledge of the regulatory
requirements and functions which impact the Quality Control Program/Plan
and Project Management assistance, and the application of corrective
actions to nonconforming conditions, are acquired through my implementation
of strong management and organizational skills, effective and proficient
oral and written communications, independence, ability to work in a fast-
paced environment, risk prevention and safety policy adherence and
enforcement, self-motivation and positive mind-set, and proficient use of
Microsoft applications, and many additional Industry related cost
estimating and scheduling software and corporate internal networks.
