Present Enterprise Architect

Responsible to the Enterprise Architecture Review Board for providing

direction, guidance and definition of the enterprise-wide architecture in a

manner that effectively supports the corporate business strategy.

Research, analyze, propose and deliver solutions that are appropriate for

the business and technology strategies across all IT functional areas.

Develop policies, standards guidelines and governance that direct the

selection, development, implementation and use of information technology

within the organization. Trinity/Mercy Healthcare Systems is a $6.5

billion healthcare provider and the fourth largest healthcare provider in

the U.S.

> Developed a Converged Voice, Video & Data Network Strategy.

> Developed a Corporate Intranet strategy utilizing Microsoft SharePoint

> Developed an IP Telephony and Unified Communication Strategy.

Responsible to the Executive VP of Operations for designing and

implementing a corporate-wide centralized Infrastructure Program for all

440 Trinity/Mercy Healthcare sites. This program includes WAN, MAN, LAN,

WI-FI, VOIP, Standardized Desktop, Help Desk, and Internet/Intranet

Services. Cisco routers and switches, Novell NetWare and Microsoft 2003

Servers, Windows XP and DS-3 circuits are the program's predominate

technologies.

> Established standards, guidelines, and processes that maintain and

enhance the integrity of the data network.

> Analyzed, recommended, and selected specific products and platforms.

> Negotiated contracts and managed vendor relationships, and

accountabilities.

> Advised and counseled senior management on the economic and technical

viability of using specific technologies and architectures.

> Re-engineered the backbone data network to support the merging of 10

separate data centers into a single consolidated data center and the

convergence of IP Telephony using Cisco Communications Manager.

> Managed the development, evolution, reliability and security of the

data network architecture that includes 40 DS-3s and over 400 T-1 and

private line circuits connecting Cisco 7513, 7206, 6500, 3845 and

2800, series routers. Supported interfaces and protocols include:

SONET Ring; Frame Relay; Gigabit Ethernet; OpteMAN; Token Ring;

TCP/IP; IPX; OSPF; BGP; DLSW; and HSRP.

> Managed the design, development and maintenance of over 25 Internet

sites, 30 Intranet sites, and 5 Extranet sites, including connectivity

to the Health Network Exchange (HNX), a sub-network to the Automotive

Network Exchange (ANX). Technologies included Microsoft Internet

Information Server, CheckPoint Firewall and IPSEC secure tunneling.

> Designed and established a standardized network and desktop

environment for 12,000 Windows desktops utilizing Dell PCs and

laptops; Compaq Servers; Microsoft Select Agreement for Office; Novell

NetWare 5.0 Servers; ZenWorks distribution agents; ZenWorks system

management; GroupWise electronic mail; and Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4507,

4948, 3750, series switches.

April 1996 to AlliedSignal Corporation - Automotive Headquarters

November 1997 Regional Manager - North American Telecommunications

Responsible to the Automotive Division CIO for implementing a corporate-

wide centralized telecommunications program for all 66 sites in the central

region. My region included the center third of the United States and

Ontario, Canada. Areas of responsibility included Data Networking, PBX,

cellular, pager, video conferencing, strategic planning, vendor partnering

and internal sales and customer satisfaction. Also responsible for the

support of the Automotive Headquarters' LAN environment.

> Developed the support structure that enabled a consolidated and

centralized business services model for Information Technology. This

involved the strategic partnering and management of several vendors

including: AT&T Voice Services; Lucent Technologies G3 PBXs and voice

mail systems; Siemens-Rolm 9751 PBXs and voice mail systems; Cellular

One Wireless Services; PageNet Paging Services; PictureTel Concorde

Video Conferencing Systems; Entex PC Support Services and a Microsoft

Enterprise Agreement.

> Prioritized and developed site migration plans and economic

justifications for moving to the new business services model. This

included not only selling and establishing internal initial

acceptance, but also responsibility for maintaing total customer

satisfaction.

September 1990 to Unisys Corporation - World Headquarters

March 1996 Program Manager - Worldwide Telecommunications

Responsible to the VP of Telecommunications for three separate programs,

the last of which involved designing and implementing a corporatewide

Telework/Telecommuting program. Developed a Remote Access Network for

voice, data and desktop video conferencing, PC/Laptop platform and all

program support structures, including LAN issues. Over 5,000 employees

used this Remote Access Network.

> This program was accepted, endorsed and promoted by the CEO of Unisys

as a way to reduce costs and improve employee productivity.

> Technologies evaluated and selected included: Intel ProShare

Videoconferencing Systems, Telebit NetBlazer Access Switches, Toshiba

Laptops, Windows 95, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange and Lotus

Notes.

> Acted as the corporation's internal expert and consultant on

teleworking and remote access. Went on sales calls to external

customers with our sales force.

Optimized the worldwide backbone voice and data network to support a router

based network architecture. Also, converted analog network access circuits

to a digital equivalent and created policies and procedures that reduced

analog network access charges by $1.2 million.

> Participated in a Cost Reduction Task Force Team to help bring Unisys

back to profitability.

> This project involved renegotiating contracts, eliminated redundant

and unnecessary circuits and earned me recognition with the CEO of

Unisys.

Responsible for the total network implementation of 20 key sites onto our

Corporate T-1 based Custom Network. Conducted site surveys; created

project management, financial and cutover plans; and coordinated and

directed the activities of 43 people in 5 different departments. The

project saved Unisys more than $3.25 million over its five-year life.

> Designed the network architecture to support the migration of IDNX to

Timeplex network equipment, developed project, cutover and contingency

plans, equipment configuration and circuit installations to support

the project.

> Coordinated, prioritized, scheduled and indirectly managed 43

technical people in a matrix organization that did not report directly

to me and was able to do it on time and on budget.

August 1990 Group Manager - Worldwide Telecommunications

Directed the activities of three departments: Financial Planning and

Administration, Strategic Planning, and Internal Systems Development; which

included managing a $52 million expense budget for 11 other departments.

> Created and ensured that both financial and strategic objectives were

clearly established and attained.

> Managed the financial and contractual conformance of our AT&T Tariff

12 Custom Network.

> Managed the development of all internal information system development

including, budgeting, asset tracking, invoice payment and internal

departmental charge backs.

June 1987 to Unisys Corporation - World Headquarters

June 1989 Manager - Financial Planning and Administration

Developed and managed a $46 million telecommunications budget. Specific

duties included managing the auditing and payment of over 800 invoices each

month, developing chargeout methodologies to redistribute these costs to

each user and producing monthly financial outlooks and management reports

for eight individual departments. Developed a new bill payment system,

which saved over $500,000 in its first year of use.

May 1985 to Burroughs/Unisys Corporation - World Headquarters

Conducted and analyzed voice traffic studies and evaluated the voice

network requirements for the Corporate 12 Node EPSCS Network. Additionally

developed and managed a $20 million telecommunications budget. Saved

Burroughs over $165,000 and received an Exemplary Action Award in my first

six months of employment.
