A llow me to introduce myself, my name is Kandy Thompson, and I reside in the Carmichael area
of Sacramento County. In March, I moved to Carmichael from Southern California where I lived for the
past seven years. In Lancaster, (seventy miles North of Los Angeles) I managed the Construction
Administration operations for Manuel Concrete & Construction Co., since January 2004. Fred Manuel,
the owner of Manuel Concrete and Construction Co. had to abruptly close business doors: Fred Manuel
passed away in November 2009, caused by a variety of health issues. In March 2010 the business was
officially closed. In December 2008, I became the Construction Controller; this was my final position at
Manuel Concrete and Construction.
I am determined to find the company capable of providing future stability that benefits the
community and its employees (families and vendors). Great expectations will be satisfied with the
qualifications, education and experience that I able to offer, as an employee. I offer direction, preparation,
negotiation, planning budgets and scheduling, program execution performance and presentations, (public
speaking and public presentations) coordination of resources, customer interface, logistics support,
purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and production, inventory of residential,
commercial and industrial phases of construction. I can develop and execute contractual requirements,
finances (P&L) reports, strategies and goals to align job costs. I have the key to supervise daily routine
tasks and reports in accordance to schedules, procedure and company policy. Do you need a strong leader
with good ethical conduct, common sense and judgment to ensure, attract and confirm future accounts,
customers or clientele? I have the professional appearance and expertise to represent your company to
customers, general public, media and government agencies. I will develop in depth knowledge of the
customer organization to establish a close personal relationship with key-decision makers.
Prior to my position as a Construction Controller, I began my own referral agency a sole-proprietor,
in Sacramento, CA. I provided housing options/referrals to the Senior Citizen community. In 2002 I was
determined to find housing options available to the Senior Citizen community with limited monthly
income. It was unfortunate that the majority of my clients had no family or future financial planning. In
2002, I began researching supplemental income and financial options (Social Security Benefits). I
pursued the role as an Advocate / Ombudsman, questioning and addressing a variety of complex
administrative and organizational issues in Social Security and Health Care System. I addressed the
needs, regulations and the available housing options for the Senior Citizen community. I began public
speaking at seminars to campaign for Social Security Rights and Healthcare Reform. The most rewarding
accomplishment is reaching out to the Senior Citizen community. It is my clients, who encouraged me to
locate a home that provided the overall, healthy lifestyle, needed to acquire personal happiness: a
personal trait that is commonly missing in the Senior Citizen Community.
