My job consists of scanning documents, logging in and
out of applications, keeping files of jobs and their applicants, both
closed and open files and keeping logs of them on the computer, filing and
making new folders, ordering supplies and doing requisitions and greeting
all people who enter our office and assisting them when I can or directing
them to who may be able to assist them. I answer the phones and I perform
all clerical work. I supervise the student workers and keep track of their
time sheets. I also do the advertisement on web and in papers, and
Chronicle of Higher Education. I keep all files and the bulletin board in
order and keep track of the open and closing of all positions. I assist and
help all the staff and administration in the HR department. I am
responsible for the files of the closed and open jobs and reorganized those
files. I also am updating the personnel files and reorganizing them.
05/07 to 01/09 Truman Hotel and Conference Center:
Note: I worked for them full time from 05/07 to 06/08 when I went to work
for Lincoln but stayed on part-time to help them out on weekends and
holidays until January 09.
My job entailed checking customers in and out and in
making reservations and cancelling them if the reservation department was
not available. I made deposits nightly. I helped train new employees for
the front desk for my shift. I kept the computers accurate in both the ones
for the railroad and the guest computers. I handled all customer complaints
and or directed them to the necessary person. I worked all shifts when
necessary and helped out in other departments as needed.
Skills:
I am skilled in Microsoft and Excel and have various other computer skills
as well.
I am a data entry operator and have several years of experience in that
field as both operator and verifier.
I have bookkeeping experience. I also have experience using Datatel.
I have some paralegal knowledge and am able to read and digest case law.
I am good at multi-tasking and can schedule appointments, make reservations
for travel and organize meetings.
I am able to scan and archive documents and currently use the Hershey
documentation system but can learn any system.
