This application is called file pile. The website provides an online shared

file storage system. The user has to register before logging in to the

Storage System. The files can be uploaded, viewed and deleted by any user.

Only public files can be viewed or deleted by other users. The system admin

however can view and delete any file of any user. User can change the email

id and password for their account. The maximum limit allotted per user is

30 MB. The languages used in building the project are PHP, Mysql, and CSS.

One additional group project developed as class project was the hangman

game designed in the freshman year. The project was assigned for the object

oriented and design class using the language JAVA and BlueJ as the

software.

Besides these two major projects, I have developed a numerous projects in

different languages like SML, Java, C++, C, C#, ASP .Net, JavaScript.

Projects like making an interpreter for Java language in ML, making use of

data structure like graphs and others for decision-making problems.

Worked as an intern in the .NET team. Assisted my manager and

supervisor with their side projects.

* Conflict of Interest (COI)

This application is a survey form, which required some data and

design changes. The design was supported by CSS. Assigned to me, as a

training project the scope was the entire plant, which are about 3000-

4000 people. Skill developed in the project was coordinating and

communicating. It required a lot of communication with non-technical

project managers.

* WarrantyZone

Project supports the warranty system of John Deere and needed some

changes. Changing of field size to accommodate the comments and

changes of encoding the status notes so as to parse them into the

John Deere server. Language used Asp .Net. Skill developed is

communicating and understanding the type of work done at the company.

* iPace

One of the major projects worked on in post training period. Designed

the user interfaces and focused on the functionality of search page,

compare page and modify page. Project focuses on customization of

engines. Also worked on the functionality of building engines. Took

over the project from a contractor and did the needful. Languages

used JQuery, Asp .Net with C#, styles sheets made in CSS.

Successfully met the requirements by manager and the project manager.

Skill developed included understanding of requirements and

implementing them appropriately, communication, explaining code to co-

workers on the project, and problem solving.

* Conversion Project

Project assigned over the entire period. Included about 12-15

applications needed to be converted from 1.1 framework to 3.5

framework. Project requirements included conversion, replacing any

deprecated code with new standards, testing, documentation, and

deployment into the servers. Languages involved Asp .Net, web

services, and HTML. Learned to build .msi files in training and

implemented the same throughout the project. Skill developed included

understanding the working of various projects and seeing how they

integrated with each other. Also had configuration file for different

servers/environments.

Developed modules and applications for the web portal of University of

Wisconsin - Oshkosh

Some major applications created were:

* Network Access Request Form (NARF)

The LAN Technicians used this application and its use was to submit a

request form for a particular user. The changes were made to enhance the

quality and efficiency of the application. A few changes made were adding

multiple users instead of one, having an auto-complete with its features,

allowing user to check and delete data instead of restarting the whole

process, confirmation email features like editing inbuilt email content and

giving some more functionalities and a number of minor changes. The main

languages involved were including JavaScript, ASP .Net, CSS, and SQL.

In short it is a form to be filled so that the LAN team can give permission

for the requested folders, mailing lists, and applications to the requested

person.

Documented the project reports to explain functionalities

* External Random Links

The application allows the user to add links and description to the page

and also allows the user to go through other links posted and also can

report a posted link. The user can however delete or edit links posted by

him. The main language used in the development of the same is JavaScript

which does all the work and ASP >Net to just add initial workspace to the

page. There is also an administrator end to this application, which allows

the administrators to delete, edit any link and also un-report any reported

link.

This project is similar to http://www.digg.com excluding any commenting

options and features

* Discussion Board

The discussion board application is somewhat similar to the External Random

Links the difference being the links are discussion topics this application

is more like a forum to discuss any topic between the users. The

functionalities resemble to those of the External Random Links.

This project is similar to any online forums or discussion boards.

* Portal Polls Admin and Module

This application was designed to have a poll for students. This application

was an admin side application to add, edit and delete questions also it had

a function of enabling and disabling a particular or all questions at a

time. The module was the user end part, this was designed so as it gives an

unanswered question to the user and does not repeat a question. It used

AJAX, CSS, C#, Web Services, and SQL Server.

* Maintained and upgraded previously developed projects like:

Visual Live

This application is an update for the programmers for the icons and the

designs that exist in the current portal and also a recommendation for the

programmers to use the same. The main language used was XHTML and CSS.
