Objective: Looking for an excellent opportunity to work with my skill set

and background as well as the opportunity to grow in my profession.

Education:

Clemson University, Clemson SC, Masters in Mechanical Engineering

(December, 2009) GPA 3.2

Activities: Tae Kwon Do club - Member

Thesis: Thermoelastic Response of a Small Bearing Cage

Clemson University, Clemson SC, Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering

(December, 2004)

Activities: Tae Kwon Do club - Member

Relevant Experience:

Clemson University-Graduate Research Assistant, Clemson University, SC- Jan

2008-Dec 2009

Funded Research Projects:

Toyota:

Designed and implemented traditional and cost cutting non-destructive

testing setups using pulsed thermography, produced detailed results,

interfaced with programmer to implement image enhancement schemes across

various types of surfaces and conditions. Gave monthly presentations of

project works in progress

Examined current non-destructive testing methodologies and current research

trends surrounding the examination of PCB's; Lock-in, pulsed, SSM

microscopy, coordinated testing schedule layout with multiple engineers to

cut down testing time.

Timken:

Worked with outside engineers in implementing thermoelasticity techniques

to detect stresses in various parts, produced stress patterns by thermal

emission across entire regions of interest for analysis via post processing

in matlab by exporting thermal maps from Rtools, established experimental

setups for optimal; fields of view, frame rates and resolution, assisted in

troubleshooting areas of uncertainty within compared simulation and results

from thermoelasticity, researched outside source methods for comparison and

implementation.

Plastic Omnium:

Researched previous setups, found and recommended necessary equipment for

purchase for a laser stripe 3D profiling mechanism for the 3d mapping of a

plastic fender, researched design and implementation of current setups,

determined necessary measures for increased sensitivity and robustness in

setups, determined necessary sensitivity in order to find optical defects

of a minimum size, Programmed baseline depth detection program to interpret

video file captures of fender using laser triangulation method, handed off

programming and previous research to programmer and new group member,

assisted in program troubleshooting with introduction of measured sample

defects and implementation with programmer.

EPRI(Electric Power Research Institute):

Examined and tested thick walled steam pipes using non destructive testing

methods. Cycled though available methods for the non destructive testing

methods of piping, supervised other engineers in research and testing and

compiled reports with results pertaining to methods used. Outlined

alternative methods / testing samples to give more accurate results

Skills:

Familiar with Non-Destructive Testing methods and principles, Laboratory

documentation and setups, Infrared camera operation history and current

technology, Optics, Focal Point Arrays, Baseline programming
