Senior Materials/Logistic Manager 3/2007- 4/2008

Responsible for the divisions' purchasing, planning & scheduling,

inventory control, warehousing, logistics, yard blade storage,

production support, and shipping & receiving. Business Unit consisted

of a team of one manager, four direct supervisors, seven team leads,

and forty two indirect working four shifts. Senior Manager for the

new plant start-up in Little Rock, Arkansas and purchased plus

approved all capital equipment for the project. Achievements include:

. Reduced office overhead cost by $46K or 40%.

. Worked with Engineers on Lean Project to get hoses used on the

mold precut to save time and waste by 15%.

. Reduced manufacturing consumable spend by 10% which was a

reduction in $600K per year.

. Redesign warehouse layout and material process flow to conform to

OSHA regulations and 5S standards.

. Work Lean Project to designed material and stocking location

mapping for faster picking items for production

Senior Procurement Manager, Direct Sourcing 2/2006 - 3/2007

Manager of Direct Sourcing for a Gas Utility that services the

Washington, DC area, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. I had three

direct, which two were supervisors, and eleven non-directs union

members. Managed corporate purchasing of materials for inventory and

capital projects, warehousing, and inventory control, hauling, and

receiving. A senior member of all project team and signed off on all

capital project. The goals achieved were:

. Restructured reorder points and reorder quantity to minimize

inventory levels and increase terns 50%.

. Negotiated with pipe supplier to hold inventory and reduced

inventory cost by $400K per year.

. Renegotiation with suppliers for stocking programs and sourced

additional suppliers to increase competition reducing spend by $1.2M

per year.

. Worked with internal and external auditors with SOX compliance.

being built by subcontractors in Asia and UK. The department consisted
