Manufacturing & Distribution Management
Forecasting & Planning Supply Chain Management Operations
Management
I have over 20 years of progressively responsible supply chain management
and operations management experience in both start-up and growth
organizations. I have run daily manufacturing operations in a medium-sized
factory (250,000 sq ft.). I have a proven track record for productivity
gains and cost reductions. I have broad-based customer service experience.
I'm experienced in all phases of logistics including demand planning and
replenishment, systems development, warehouse design, software selection,
staffing and training, directing lean manufacturing and six sigma
initiatives, crafting strategic partnerships with key suppliers and major
customers, opening new operations sites, and transitioning business. I have
years of experience in production and inventory management. I'm a CPIM with
APICS. I'm a great problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Initiatives
I've championed Lean/Six Sigma projects in manufacturing areas-mastering,
electroforming, molding, printing, and packaging. My staff was trained in a
variety of tools to achieve and maintain a Lean environment-Six Sigma
DMAIC, SPC, 5 S's, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis. In all our
initiatives we attempted to reduce waste, compress time, and increase
flexibility.
Under my leadership, the manufacturing and logistics departments undertook
and successfully completed several major Six Sigma projects in the last two
years:
. Disc Thickness Reduction (resulted in raw material cost reduction)
. Production Yield Improvement (increased yield of good product off
production lines)
. Cycle Time Reduction (produced more product, increasing capacity)
. Process Flow Improvement (streamlined manufacturing processes)
