Pier Pont Family Medicine: Gilbert Az. Feb-2010/May-2010

I worked under PA Gwen Wodiuk I was her Medical Assistant. I would be her nurse on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so for other days of week I would cover other MA’s or worked in front office doing scheduling, referrals, calling in scripts to Pharmacies and patients also insurance verifications. This office used Lytech program and had regular paper charts. My very strong point that I was the go to MA was for most blood draws.

Gilbert Hospital: Gilbert Az. Jan-2010/Mar-2010

I held the position at Gilbert hospitals inpatient department as a Med Tech, duties included vitals, charting, patient care, Admits and discharges. Labs which included

blood draw’s on every patient at specific time, I would do all blood draw’s because, they all had to be in lab before a specific time, I was the only one that could get them done with one poke and in lab within the tight time frame. We also had surgery patients we cared for and had for days sometimes weeks depending on procedures they had done, I cared for 10-15 patients on my shift on top of that did all blood draws for our inpatient department.

Scottsdale Health Care Center: Paradise Valley AZ. 2yrs.

I was a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) this is where I started my nursing Career, I was 18yrs. old. I worked there for 2 years and then went to private care because I liked the one on one time with my patients and the bond we had was very special to me and them as well. I did private care for 6 years after 4 years with one lady she passed away and I went to different client for one year she only needed me for that time frame. I wanted to move on in the medical field so after taking care of my 2 children I went back to school to get a higher nursing degree.

Education:

I attended Pima Medical Institute in mesa Az. I started 4/13/2009 – 11/06/2009 and graduated and received my certificate in February because they only have 3 ceremonies a year, I completed all classes and externship in November 2009. I had to complete 200 hours which was done at Cornerstone Family Medicine. Where I learned all front office duties, as well as back office duties including their weight loss program. I did all phlebotomy in that office as well, I worked for PA Gwen Wodiuk that is how I worked at Pier Pont Family Medicine she wanted me to be her Assistant so I followed her there. She was the only female doctor so her and I did all pap’s and womanly exams.

Update about myself:

I became very ill and had to resin I went through testing and therapy and I now am ready to get back to work. I am very eager to get back to what I do best! I am ready to perform at the best of my ability. I want to learn as much as I can from extra classes I can take as well as the office I am working for. I am dedicated, dependable and a fast learner, ready for anything that is thrown my way. I believe I can be a great asset to any practice I work for with the skills and knowledge that I have, and will continue to learn as well as grow with my career.
