business operations. Throughout the course of my work abroad and in the United States I have developed

business models for the creation of a productive environment.

MAT is a Children's summer Program that seeks to educate children ages 4-16 about the world around
t hem. This method of fun and education is called, “Enviro-tainment”. Day and overnight t rips provide a
safe and exciting environment for children to learn about the natural world, our community and the people
l iving within it. As administrative director I oversee the yearlong operations that go into making the camp
r un successfully. This includes all general business affairs, client relations, bookkeeping, payroll, A/R, A/P,
p roduct ordering, website operations, and employee management.

As camp chef I order and purchase all food and plan every meal. I am the chef for all of the camp’s
extended and overnight t r ips. Through a program we Call Chef’s Helpers, I give the campers many
opportunities to join me in the kitchen and learn the basics of food preparation for large groups of people.

The Wildside Café and Teahouse, San Ignacio, Belize 2000-2005
Owner/Founder/Head Chef
Located in Belize, a country in Central America, The Wildside Café and Teahouse was a 24-seat
i ndoor/outdoor setting serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests were also introduced to a full
medicinal herbal tea menu; consisting of hand picked herbs from the Belizean rainforest. As owner and
head chef I was responsible for all restaurant business operations as well as meal planning and execution.
T he Wildside also coordinated with Peace Corps volunteers and ESL programs by lending out seating for
after school tutoring programs. Throughout these sessions I worked closely with local youth to help them
learn skills and develop knowledge of educational opportunities not provided within the school system.
