Senior Supervisor – Underground Mobile Equipment Maintenance
Oversee crews responsible for maintenance on underground mobile equipment fleet including
LHDs, haul trucks, drills, bolters, concrete transports, and other support equipment. Typical
duties include managing personal and contractors, budgeting expense and capital projects and
planning maintenance activities. Successfully implemented use of biodiesel fuel underground to
reduce DPM emissions.

Assign, supervise and review work for extracting ore at a block-cave mine utilizing LHDs, drilling
and blasting of oversized rocks and drift maintenance in production areas. Implement production
plans according to approved schedules. Conduct performance evaluations. Prepare estimates of
the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities during scheduled
production and production shut-downs. Requisition tools, supplies, materials and equipment.

Aided in the development of the mine plan and design for a new underground hard rock mine
from start-up to full production. Oversaw several surface construction projects including the new
office / dry building and radial stacker. Researched high speed transport systems for 3.5-mile
long tunnel ride into the mine. On site liaison for database contractor aiding in the development
of a company wide enterprise database system. Created various computer programs to increase
office productivity. Conducted ground support studies in both Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
boreholes up to 12,000 feet into the tunnel. Headed up a project to determine the optimum time
to replace rail haulage of TBM muck with conveyor haulage including placement of multiple
switches. Set up round the clock on site paramedic service.
