I transcribe the entire spectrum of radiology reports for this very busy
facility, on an in-house basis. I am an On Call employee, and usually work
1 shift per week
July 2009 to January 2010 - SoftScript
I transcribed mostly radiology reports, and other acute care medical
reports as required.
November 2008 to April 2009 - eTransPlus
I transcribed medical records, including H&Ps, consults, OP reports,
Discharge summaries, echos and clinic notes for a large university hospital
account, as well as for a VA hospital. Unfortunately, I was employed on
the 3rd shift and I much too frequently had little or no work available to
me.

Full-time radiology transcriptionist, an in-house position. I transcribed
radiology reports for the eight offices in this group, heavy CT and MRI
content. I also performed various clerical duties as part of my job. My
position was cut due to decline in the company's revenues. Letter of
recommendation available.
September 2006 to November 2006 --- Spheris
I worked part-time transcribing all types of radiology reports for this
national service, specific account was for a large county hospital and
satellite hospital. The radiology group was large and included some
physicians for whom English is a second language. I left this at home
position to take an in-house job with Open MRI of Loma Linda.
August 2006 to September 2006 - Computerized Diagnostic Imaging Center
I worked in-house, full-time on a temporary basis for this radiology group
- filling in prior to their transition to being acquired by Riverside
Community Hospital and having their transcription outsourced to a service.
1995 to 2006 --- MedQuist
I worked for this national transcription service in full-time, part-time,
statutory, in-house and at-home capacities. I have transcribed all areas
of medical specialty for acute hospitals as well as for multispecialty
medical offices. Radiology groups, notably Loma Linda University Medical
Center Radiology, were also among the accounts I transcribed.
2000 to 2002 --- Arrowhead Regional Medical Center; Colton, California
I was employed full-time in-house as a Medical Transcriptionist in this
large, teaching, all-digital radiology department. Several of the
radiologists had English as a second language. All subspecialties of
radiology were performed, including mammography, ultrasonography,
echocardiography, nuclear medicine, cardiac catheterization, angiography,
CT, MR, arthrography, and plain diagnostic radiography. Part of my job was
also to correlate schedules with various departments and maintain a hard
copy file. Elizabeth Barrington was my supervisor, she now works in the
Human Resources Department.
1994 to 1996 --- Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda,

I worked full-time in-house as a Radiology Transcriptionist as well as
assistant supervisor at this very busy teaching hospital/medical school.
All areas of radiologic imaging were performed. The department was done
away with in favor of having the work transcribed by a transcription
service. Norma Cross was my supervisor, she still works in the Radiology
Administration offices.
1992 to 1994 --- Redlands Community Hospital ; Redlands, California.
Full-time Radiology Transcriptionist, in-house. I was also responsible for
printing and distributing the hard copies, correlating dictation with
printed lists, and comparing the hospital census with patient flow.
Supervisor was Sandy Edson, still department head of Radiology.
1991 to 1992 --- Western States Medical Management; Redlands, California
I worked full-time as a Medical Transcriptionist. This was a worker's
compensation/personal injury medical office. I was the only transcription
staff and had a heavy load of Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Neurology, Internal
Medicine and Physical Therapy transcription reports to produce.
Unfortunately, the company desired all transcription to be done at their
corporate offices in Los Alamitos, a commute I was unable to commit to.
1989 to 1991 --- Redhill Medical Management
I worked full-time as a Medical Transcriptionist at this worker's
compensation/personal injury medical office in Palm Springs. The position
also included composing record reviews upon researching the patient medical
record, as well as being cross-trained as historian, medical assistant and
receptionist in this small office. Specialties included Internal Medicine,
Orthopedics. Psychiatry, Neurology, Radiology.
1988 to 1989 --- Riverside Community Hospital
I worked full-time as a Medical Transcriptionist in the medical records
department, transcribing discharge summaries, history and physicals,
operative reports, radiology reports, consultations, progress notes.
1987 to 1988 --- St. Agnes Medical Center
In Fresno, California, I worked full-time in the Radiology Department as a
transcriptionist. I also performed some of the departmental billing as
well as filling-in at the reception desk as needed when working weekends.
1986 to 1987 --- Lassen Community Hospital
I worked part-time and then full-time as an emergency room secretary at
this rural facility in Susanville, California. As scheduling required, I
also worked in the business office generating A/R and A/P reports, as well
as posting and processing patient payments.
1984 to 1986 --- Good Samaritan Hospital
Located in San Jose, California, I worked full-time and then part-time as a
Radiology Transcriptionist; Neurodiagnostic/Vascular lab when needed. This
was worked concurrently with my position at Lassen Community.
1983 to 1984 --- Palo Alto Medical Foundation
I worked full-time at this multispecialty clinic In Palo Alto, California
mainly in the Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT and Radiology
offices.
1983 to 1984 --- Los Gatos Community Hospital; Los Gatos, California
I worked part-time in the medical records department transcribing a variety
of medical reports, heavy neurosurgery operative reports on my shift; this
employment was concurrent with by job at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Many clerical functions were included in this position.
1978 to 1983 --- Mission Valley Medical Center
(Presently known as Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar,
California)
I worked the first year and a half as an emergency room secretary, then in
the medical records department as radiology transcriptionist,
correspondence secretary and patient chart clerk in this small, rural-at-
the-time hospital.
EDUCATION:
I attended high school at Elsinore Union High School in Lake Elsinore,
California. I attended community college at Riverside City College and Mt.
San Jacinto College, but did not finish a degree.
1977 -- I attended the National Business Institute in Riverside, California
and completed their AAMT-sanctioned Medical Transcriptionist course and
received CMT status upon graduation. This was a nine month course.
